Man-o-man, this weird flu just keeps hanging on! Just when we think we have turned a corner, it slams us back down. Not totally down, but just enough of a sinking spell to know that we aren’t 100% yet.

BW had a call from teh lady in finance at work. Shortly after Teh Mother’s death, BW went online & stopped the direct deposit that she had been putting in TM’s account. But she must have mashed a wrong button. She managed instead to just put that amount in her own account, leaving the rest of her paycheck floating in teh internet. They got it straightened out, but it will involve them mailing us a live payroll check later this week. Aiye -yi-yi if this hadn’t been caught! Hot check charges out the wazoo!

I’ve been trying to us get back on a regular food schedule. A week of soup & oatmeal & grits & sickroom food has given way to more normal fare.
Yesterday I was finally able to grill a steak. Yeah, it was just one that we split, but that is a start! I made a couple of homemade banana splits, too.

So, I told y’all KFH&BBQ is being sold. ( I did tell y’all, right? I have apparently forgotten most of April) The buyers had until yesterday to do their due diligence -- inspection, appraisal, submit loan docs. They didn’t because their realtor ( a member of the church buying the Hall) decided the sellers’ realtor would do it. ’cause he has a job. Forget he is supposed to do something to earn that sweet sweet commission; the conflict of interest that would pose for the sellers’ realtor; and the need to get it done if you want the sale to go through. No chance of inspection or appraisal for 2 weeks either- Georgia Cyber Academy has the place every weekday into May for state mandated school testing.
