We were lucky & so far just gotta lotta rain from the storms. Moar rain this week…
Paddy, I like that name “Timbor”. I don’t know why. Just cute & clever & reminded me of teh old great advertising age of America.

Hello, GN and hai, RabBeet!

RabBeet --

I’m also kind of a fan of old American advertising / product names. (I’d always sort of paid attention to ads -- mostly so I could mock them -- and that was actually quite helpful when I fell into radio advertising after I moved to L.A.)

You might enjoy skimming this Wikipedia article about Albert Lasker, who is considered by some as the father of modern American advertising. I also quite enjoyed a biography of him called The Man Who Sold America, which is mentioned in the article.

David Ogilvy was another giant in that industry and his book Ogilvy On Advertising was inspirational and educational to a much younger Fatwa.

Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT and Fatwa!

RabBiT -- I’m glad Teh RabBiT Hutch has been spared the worst of the storms.

I’ve got a phone appointment with my new, union paid for, lawyer late this afternoon. We’ll see how that goes.

Hai, Paddy --

Hope your phone appointment is fruitful.

Would it be a too over-teh-top if you spoke in a “Joisey” dialect and referred to the advocate as your “mout’piece”?

Let’s see if he’s actually my advocate first.

Thankful, Rabbit, that the worst of the weather has missed you: hope that Mac and X are OK too.

How did it go, Paddy?

Hai, Sven!

Short phone call with the lawyer -- about 15 minutes. They’ll ask the yoonyun for authorization to mount a defense (they interpret the paperwork as authorization for a couple of hours of consultation, but nothing more) and I scanned and emailed all the paperwork I’ve gotten from the state, plus I wrote a response to each of the 24 allegations in the investigative report -- even if the investigators themselves found no evidence for the allegation.

Of course this puts me in a great mood, having to re-visit the distillation of the distillation of the recollections of a small group of students, some of whom don’t like me because I actually ask them to put in the effort that goes along with an ‘honors’ class. It’s really tempting to just say eff it all.

You’re in a bad spot, Paddy, and an undeserved one too. I’m sorry for the situation that you are in and that it has dragged on as long as it has. Prayers, friend, for a just resolution.
