BW called Sis last night & she sounded as normal as she gets. So no dead bodies this week…

Well that’s not a cheery way to start the day, but that’s what I have.

The garage door made an odd noise & stopped halfway up when BW was leaving for work. I had to unhook it to get her out. Guess I know what I’ll be doing later this morning. Fixing it? Ha! No, that’s what little men & credit cards are for.

See ya later

TGIF, GN!

Hai, RabBeet! Bummer about your garage door; hope getting it fixed won’t be too dear.

And because it’s teh end of the week: a drunk-ass raccoon:

Poor feller.

Thanks, Mac or Jerry or Ed!

(Pretty sure I tried “httpv” earlier…but I was still in the process of getting caffeinated, so I might have typed “glxkr” instead.)

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT, Fatwa, and Sven!

RaBbiT --

that’s what little men & credit cards are for.

Will the Seven Dwarves be able to reach the garage door?

Hai, Sven and Paddy!

that’s what little men & credit cards are for.

I took that as more of a crassly commercialized Louisa May Alcott reference. 😉

Ha!
The little men came & took a check instead of a card. $8 for thepart, $74.50 for climbing their ladders. Not bad at all. Well, one guy came this morning & took the whole middle rod & unit away. The part was a crumpled up ,smashed rubber thing that was (I guess) the “stopper part” that the door slams into. They may have used a technical term, not stopper part. Somebody had to drive to FTW & get a new stopper. But when they came back, they retightened the springs. Something about our doors are older & heavier that the new ones, so it was really slamming it.
This morning, we just left the door open. So after awhile, I went & fell asleep listening to the radio. I woke at one & went to the living room. I heard someone knock on the garage/kitchen door. I went over there & was surprised to see both garage doors open , their shop fan hooked up & they were almost finished! They rang the doorbell & I never heard it, so they started working before they knocked again. My Rabbit ears were turning pink, I’m sure. They laughed it off…

BW heard from Darlene at the funeral home today. The ME finally sent the death certificate & she will mail them to us Monday. So that is another thing that we have been waiting for.

Happy Friday Greetings, GN! Get yur drunk Raccoon on!
Good news! I still have a job, because
Bad News! The sale of KFH&BBQ fell through so instead of that day off in June I was so sure of, I have been panicking busting azz to get bookings.
Rabbit: Glad you finally got the certificate. I know what you mean about the damage the electric scooters can do. My Mom destroyed her apt and hit something every place I took her. 60 plus years with a perfect driving record and yet doesn’t look at all when she backs up in that thing.

I got addicted to a podcast series on the French Revolution. Mike Duncan -- who is not a trained historian -- does a fantastic job of describing history. He started with The History of Rome, which I am listening to this week, but it his Revolutions series that is his finest work. I haven’t listened to the American Revolution series yet, but expect many a late night when I do so.
