Up & at ’em, gerbils!

BW just put in a computer request to get some electrican bids. She was called back almost immediately. The company will come to TCM tomorrow to inspect and bid. The name I have seen on trucks around town, but we have never used them. It never fails to crack me up, “Mr. Sparky”. Ha!
My back feels better after a day of rest.
I’m pushing BW for an early start so that we can run back home. Today is supposed to be 101. Yuck.
See ya later.

TGIF, GN!

Hai, RabBeet!

Glad you’re feeling better and hope you find some contractors you and BW feel comfortable doing business with.

Mac --

Is that device in teh thread GIF a CAT scanner? (Couldn’t resist; also liked yesterday’s thread pic because toilet.)

In Larryville news: The man accused of dressing as a woman and attacking a real estate agent in Lawrenceville has done it before, according to court records.

Jeffrey Wayne Shumate, 38, was arrested on Wednesday after investigators say he attacked a real estate agent outside a Lawrenceville home. Police say Shumate was dressed as a woman, with a wig, when the attack happened on the front porch of the vacant home on Sugarloaf Parkway.

Per the story, this guy’s a fairly scary nutbag with a “thing” for realtors.

Raider hater. Not very funny nor accurate, just the usual spin from a guy who lives in his mother’s basement.

Hai, Sven!

I thought you might take umbrage at that guy’s assessment of teh Raiders. I know next to nothing about football, but it didn’t seem very flattering. 🙂

Is the city of Carson really making noises about building a stadium for them funded by the public purse?

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT, Fatwa, and Sven!

RaBbiT -- I hope you can take it easy today and escape TCM before it gets too hot. Good luck with Mr. Sparky!

Fatwa -- that was very insensitive of the reporter to mention how Shumate was dressed. Maybe she feels that she is a woman.

Good morning, Fatwa!

Yeah, that “post” got my blood boiling. Why I even like hyperventilated for a few minutes. There’s all kinds of rumors and plots about bringing the NFL back to Los Angeles with the Raiders, Rams, and Chargers being the teams thinking about moving.

Good luck Rabbit. Please try to remember that the primary focus is you and BW--not getting the house ready or selling it or anything else.

And good morning, Paddy!

Hai, Paddy…and heh!

Brenda asked me to post this link as proof of the efficacy of the “Rake of Doom” concept. (Which permitted an intended victim to get her hands on the perp’s gun and remove him from teh gene pool.)

Woman kills attacker with his gun, unknowingly takes out a serial killer.

“I knew he was there to kill me,” the visibly shaken woman told KPTV after being released from the hospital, where she was treated for broken vertebrae and lacerations. “I could tell that he had already done something because he said that he was going to prison for a long time. And that’s when I knew he was gonna kill me.”

When Falls began to strangle her, she said, she reached for a nearby rake. Falls put down his gun to try and wrestle the rake out of her hands—that’s when she grabbed the gun and shot him. Falls died from the gunshot wound, and she ran outside to get help.

When police arrived, they found an extensive “kill kit” in the trunk of Falls’s Subaru. In the trunk were knives, a shovel, a machete, several axes, a sledgehammer, a pair of hiking boots covered in dirt, trash bags, and cleaning supplies.

How was Falls trying to strangle her with a gun in one of his hands?

Except for the cleaning supplies, the guy’s trunk sounds like the back seat of my truck.

Also, I initially read that as a “kilt” kit. Snort.
