Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
Mrs. Sven wants to know raccoon secrets? OK.
I’m going over to my folks’ house this morning (after a phone meeting with the good folks at the unemployment department) to return a bunch of stuff I’d previously removed. Our real estate agent knows a guy who’ll haul away whatever is left in a house. If there’s enough good stuff, he’ll pay you. I’m trying to bring back some ‘good stuff’ that I was just going to sell anyways.
Happy Thursday! Y’all know how much I love the desert, right? So much that I’m going back again this weekend!! Yay! Weatherbubblegirl says it will only be 100-103. Yay! We are going to try a new place, Borrego Springs Resort and Spa. Their summer rates are 1/2 the cost of La Casa Del Zorro and it looks just as nice. We will see..
My son is happy because he gets to have little Miss Cali again for the weekend. She is one lucky, happy doge and will undoubtedly get to go to the beach every day. Next week, it’s going to be a short work week. I already have Monday off and then I’m taking Thursday and Friday for our family trip to Catalina! Life is good!
BrendaK and I just got back from Marietta, where PapaK had a successful transfemoral aortic valve replacement done earlier this morning. Amazing that such things can be done.
Had a chance to talk with him briefly afterwards and if all goes according to plan, he should be discharged by Sunday.
BK and I both had the date as the 8th; we got a call last night informing us otherwise. Don’t know if we were given the wrong date originally or it got changed and we weren’t told; main thing is we were both able to be there.
Really tired, as I’ve been up since about 3:30 and got about 3 1/2 hours sleep last night; poor LambiePieK got even less.
I’m glad things went well. That was the procedure my Dad was going to have when they found pancreatic cancer. He was adamant that he wouldn’t have open-heart surgery.
Glad things went well. It is always frightening with surgery.

Greetings, all.
Glad to hear that PapaK is doing well. The whole surgery/recovery thing is stressful, prayers are on the way.
BW and I took TMP keys to the realtor’s office. Bob was out with the others in a meeting. (I guessed breakfast/sales meeting)
Since we were already on that side of town, we went out to a Farmer’s Market near the base where I used to take TM. I’ll probably never go there again. As we stepped out of the car, some jets took off over our heads, about four. BW said ,”Are we under attack?” I said, “No, this is what they do in the morning.”
Another group took off while we were shopping, but BW didn’t get her camera out in time to take pictures.
We drove past the base and took a long drive through parts of the city and other suburbs that BW never sees, killing time until Babe’s Chicken opened up. After lunch, we came home & I napped.
Doesn’t sound like much, but it is emotionally draining to turn over this part of the house process. We have done all we can & now it is up to Bob. (Of course, we plan to be back over there in the morning to run the pool sweep & maybe clean a window or two, but no more landscaping or big cleaning.
See ya later, maybe.

I understand the toll it takes on you -- not just turning over the keys to TMP, but driving through areas you’ll probably never go through again. I know it’s not the same, but when Teh Older graduated college, we had one last dinner at his favorite spot, near campus. Rather than get a ride back to his dorm, he wanted to take one last quiet walk through campus.
I met with the junk man today and he started the process of clearing out my folks’ home, the garage, and the shed. It will take a couple of days to complete. My nephew’s spa gets picked up on Wednesday and delivered to his new home. The ceilings have been scraped (no more ‘cottage cheese’ acoustic ceilings!) and the realtor and contractor have come up with a kitchen design that will make the most of the space. Time -- it flies.
That’s Mrs Sven’s dream right there.

I think Little Mouse would prefer a racoon that vacuums.
Who wouldn’t?!
Except my dogs would be seriously conflicted between fear of the vacuum and the need to ATTACK the critter.
That’d probably almost be as funny as watching one of them try to spit after they’ve caught a frog long enough for it to pee in their mouth.

Wait! Things have their own internet?? Does Deb go there?
Good afternoon, GN!

At any rate, *thunk!* zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…

Glad things worked out, Fatwa and Brenda. Thoughts and prayers for you guys and all others traveling through troubling times.
I’m glad to see the left’s newfound respect for the rule of law re: Kentucky.
I expect to see the mayors of sanctuary cities behind bars any day now.
No. really.
stop laughing.
