Thanksgiving Day Greetings!
Thanks for telling me to delete “audio comment”. I am such a computer idiot.
This is the first time in many years that BW didn’t spend the night away. She decided (so far) that she will skip the gathering at her niece’s apt. The Good Nephew has to work & wouldn’t be over there until early evening, anyway.
So I guess we will half a Marie Callender TV dinner. Ha! I never have bought one of these & I only bought one!
So far, this is what we said:
BW: I need to comb my hair. I’m thankful I have hair.
Me: I’m thankful I’m not running the Turkey Trot.
BW: Or have the trots.
This Thanksgiving togetherness is new to us…
Hope y’all have a happy one.
See ya later

Happy Thanksgiving, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT, Fatwa, Sven, and Mac!
We’ll be heading over to my MIL’s mid-day. Teh Older and I will put up her Christmas lights (not to be turned on until after Thanksgiving) and handle a few chores. Later, we’ll be joined by extended family, some good friends, their kids, and the kids significant others. It could be quite the crowd!
RabBiT -- if y’all and BW want to join us, we can easily make room!
Teh Younger will be celebrating Thanksgiving with the portion of his search-and-rescue team that is still on campus. He’s making a spicy, Italian mac and cheese dish.
Happy Thanksgiving EveryGerbillyBody! Everyone of whom I’m grateful to know.
You know what I also know? I know that we, the Wheelizens, should find a way to have a Thanksgiving together. All of us. I bet it’d be a great time, and we’re WAY overdue.
It’s time to carve, eat, and nap.
/and then Wal-Mart
//Jeebus
Hope all o’ ya’ll are having a lurvely day. We just got home laden with leftovers; I think a lie-down might be in order. Or perhaps I’ll just make some coffee and have a piece of pie as a pick-me-up. 🙂
PapaK also discovered that he had two Walther CP88 pellet guns, so we got an extry-bonus “leftover”:
Delighted to have something for backyard fun; part of the concrete foundation is exposed behind the house (as our lot slopes) which will make a fine “backstop”.
That looks like a lot of fun. I know some extremely good shooters who use pellet guns for indoor and back yard practice when the weather is bad. It can be very effective. Enjoy. Do remember to ALWAYS wear eye protection.
Roger that about eye protection; ear protection, too, when appropriate. Ditto handling it with the same care as any gun.
I’ve shot that gun before; definitely fun. Weighs about 2.25 lbs.; smooth operation of all the parts. Feels as though it should be much louder and recoil a lot more than it does. 🙂
The company that makes the Walther air guns also makes a few of the new Walther firearms like the P22 and PK380. Some people were underwhelmed by this but I have both and while they don’t have the feel of the older steel guns they are well made and have both been admirably reliable and a good value. Those should be serious tools. I like!!
Then you know what I mean. Some people have reported theirs are ammo sensitive but mine has been 100% reliable through hundreds of rounds so far. The PK380 is like an upscaled P22 in .380 ACP. It feels more solid in the hand because of this and has a locked breach for strength. It has the same controls.

Good morning, gentle Gerbils. I hope you all have a good Thanksgiving and that the coming months bring you much more to be thankful for.
Ours will be quiet, just four of us this year. Lots of turkey for sandwiches. Nom, nom, nom!
Happy Thanksgiving, Gerbil Nation!

SiL had a P22 for a while; I quite enjoyed shooting it. (It’s on my “gun wish list”.)
