The Permanent Hellcoldflu.
Right now we have cold and fog. It rained yesterday some. Today they are saying 67 and sunny. I’ll take it! I keep counting on my fingers how many days left before we can live with open windows again. I’d rather be in tornado season than cold season! They said the dreaded “snow flurries are on tap for this weekend. Yuck.
My closet-cleaning project ground to a halt about as a\soon as I mentioned it. I just haven’t made myself get up and do it! Reading under an electric blanket just seems like a better way to spend the day than going through junk and discarding memories. Ha!
I have a ton of jigsaw puzzles that I got for Christmas that I haven’t opened. I guess I am a “binge” puzzler. Right now, I’m in a “dry” spell. TMI?
Anyway, y’all have a Jerrific day, ’cause you know that he will!

Teh mancave is still standing but we got another inch and a half of deluge overnight. Its like a damned Texas flood around here! At least we live on the mesa so water isnt standing up here.
Still coughing up nasties but I really need to get to work sometime today, when we get a break in the stormmageddon. I have 7 invoices left to finish..I think I might die today..or maybe tomorrow.

Good morning, RabBiT, Cali, Fatwa, and Sven!
Sven -- I’m glad teh Mountain Redoubt has been weathering the storms in fine fashion -- same for Cali’s Mancave. In my travels about my city, yesterday, all the streets seemed to be handling the rain in an appropriate fashion, although I know some cities weren’t so prepared.
I wouldn’t count on that.
/we’ve had fire calls with EVERY flooding rain we’ve had in the last nine months or so.
(It’s tempting to put them at the bottom of the queue…)
My knee-jerky snark was getting out of hand -- I had to switch to malicious compliance. I still get annoyed, but I take people on a long-winded, peculiar journey with me. 🙂
Other than that, we DO have the windows open, it’s close to 70° for the moment -- I’ll take it.
And … I’m off for another “party” meeting, and then shopping for the VFD awards banquet tomorrow night.
/we volunteered for salad because Mr. X REALLY wanted something other than iceburg
I watched the first 15 or so minutes of the White House/CNN “townhall” on infringing on the 2nd Amendment -- just to see who was invited to participate and what the tone would be. Any of you brave enough to have watched our Ear Leader in a similar situation probably already know this, but I was struck by how he avoided looking anyone in the eye while speaking -- even when speaking directly to someone. Other than that, it was what should be expected -- I don’t want to take your guns, hunting, target shooting, this won’t prevent you from getting a gun, if you like your gun, you can keep your gun, I promise not to do that thing in your mouth once again, etc.
I saw most of it, Paddy. What always strikes me with Obama is that he says he wants both sides to come together and then keeps on insulting the other side…and then wonders why the other side doesn’t get on board.

Our rain gauge says we have gotten 3.75″ of rain so far…with more to come. Wheeeee!!
