Greetings, all!
Yesterday put BW in a tailspin. We got a copy of the house inspection. It was done by the pickiest of picky people. Granted, we knew there was stuff wrong, we just didn’t know HOW MUCH was wrong! And some of it can be done by a handyman, it was just disconcerting to see the whole total. BW mailed a copy to Good Nephew & he said a lot of it was just ridiculous bs. Even Bob said not to sweat it. But the point was made that we have to do some give and take on the numbers. . I hate this. But the good thing is that now we know exactly what is needing to be addressed (not by us) and the buyer paid for the inspection. Ha!
BW was so upset, she went back to the “I’ll just buy Sis & ZS out & live in it myself” nuclear option. Not what I want at all. So when Bob calls today, they will decide on a counter offer.
It is actually sunny & not-so-cold today. Well, 37 degrees, but going up to maybe 60. Yay!

RabBiT -- I know it’s hard to see the list of “problems” from the home inspector, especially when so many of them are nit-picky little things. In many ways, you have to treat it as just another business transaction, which is hard to do because we all have so much emotional investment in our homes.
Fatwa -- I think I’ll wait for the Reader’s Digest version of the PO(TU)S’ SOTU. I don’t even want to watch the commentary or GOPe response afterward.
I think you and Paddy are both wise to avoid any coverage of tonight’s STFU address.
It is likely to be filled with scolding, lies, BS, pontificating, more lies, additional bovine excrement and telling us who we should be. This will all be punctuated with various camera shots of unattractive wastes of skin and oxygen making faces, standing up, sitting down and clapping a lot.

Nights have been in the 20s ’round these parts but we’ll have a couple of milder ones toward the end of the week…then back into the deep freeze. 🙁
