On Friday afternoon, Gwinnett County police found a man covered in blood at a pawnshop on U.S. Highway 78 on the outskirts of Snellville. About the same time, officers found another man next door at the storage unit business, a large laceration in the top of his head, blood drying on his face and clothes.
Police announced Tuesday morning they believe all four suspects — teen robbers from Snellville — in custody following a brief but intense search.
The most noteworthy bit:
They found Irving Lewis Saunders, 17, who allegedly began fighting and kicking the officers as they arrested him. Jashon Aaron Samuels, 18, also turned up, as did Thoushal Nakill Lucas, 19.
Thoushal Nakill Lucas??!? That’s a ghetto name of biblical proportions.
Poor AC/DC. They got rid of a lead singer that can’t hear and replaced him with one that can’t walk. Axl sat onstage in a big throne for the entire show last weekend .
Just upgraded from OS 10.7.5 (Lion) to 10.11.4. Mostly went smoothly, except when I signed into my account after the upgrade, my cursor disappeared.
Rebooted into safe mode, ran some utilities and fixed the problem. It appears that all my critical apps are functioning correctly; I’m going through and upgrading some other stuff.
And learning where they’ve shoved stuff that they decided to move around. (Had already bought David Pogue’s “Missing Manual” book for El Capitan, which is already worth the $19 I paid for it.)
And I believe I’ve purged all of the hypocritical apps.
Maybe it’s just ’cause it’s new, but I think that this version of the Mac OS is, well, sort of ugly. I guess they’re trying to make it look more like iOS. Which may look swell on a phone or tablet (I wouldn’t know, as Apple’s are way overpriced IMHO), but not on my monitor.
Graphically, it strikes me as flat and cartoonish; I find a lot of the default colors for things like folders pretty seriously unappealing. And I really preferred graphs for stuff like RAM and disk usage.
(I wouldn’t have upgraded, except I was at the point where a lot of technologies I use aren’t or won’t be supporting OS 10.7.5 any more. Bah!)
At least there was no charge for the update. Nor did I have to do incremental updates; it was done in one fell swoop, which I do appreciate.
