I think those are coatimundis in the thread-gif.
My first thought was that they were kinkajous, but that seemed too anti-semitic for a shabat morning.
Sven is right about the heat. Cub Scout Day Camp for the district I reside in is this week, which means that setup is today. Once again, we take over the day-use portion of our local wilderness park and turn it in to an activity-filled wonderland. Tomorrow, when the temp is supposed to be 108°F, we’re have range orientation on the archery range. But no worries, we’re doing it from 12:00-3:00, so it’s not like it’s during the heat of the day, or anything.
I think you’re making up those names, Paddy! Good luck though this weekend--it sounds wonderful for the kids except for that heat thing.
I was listening to an interview with Sitora Yusufiy, the ex-wife of Omar Mateen. She claims that he was angry a lot, physically abusive towards her, and tortured her, altho she didnt detail it all that thoroughly. The CNN anchor asked her why she didnt report it to the police and her response was along the lines that she knew his dream was to become a police officer and she didnt want to ruin that for him.
So he was abusive enough that she had to leave him, but she didnt want to ruin his chances to inflict that violence under the color of authority on others. OK, got it. Thanks a bunch, sweetie.
