I share your annoyance re concert videos. I think some of that goes back to the early days of MTV when that sort of direction / editing was very common and got adopted industry-wide for just about everything.
Just read that Newt Gingrich appeared at a Trump rally yesterday. Are. You. Farking. Kidding. Me?!?!?
I thought I got lucky Tuesday when I seemed OK after getting home, but it was just catching it’s breath. About 8:30 last night it hit me hard. I had the meds and started taking them but it was a really bad night. About an hour ago it has eased up, though I am still very sore. I hope that is the end of it. The first session was about 5 hours but this was 12. This hurt worse than the heart attack, or as bad.
Criminy, Mac; that seriously sucks. Hope last night was the “last hurrah” and that you pass the stone(s) without a lot more pain.
When Dad had ’em, he referred to the sieving process as “panning for gold”. (That episode was referred to in one of the gag radio spots I made for his 60th birfday, which was just a few months after I got into the radio advertising business. A couple of announcers were kind enough to donate their talents. They were the first spots I wrote, recorded, produced and mixed all on my own.)
Hi Paddy, they seemed to expect a day or two but nobody mentioned a day and a half layover. I think it is done now, I am very sore like I was kidney punched but it is not the sharp and intense pain I felt all night. I lost my dinner but didn’t do it again, Tuesday morning was 7 times in just about four hours. I did feel very nauseous all night but was able to keep down water and the pills so I assume the anti-nausea pills worked. The pain meds didn’t do a lot but probably helped take the edge off. I wish they had been stronger. I think this is over now, though I can’t be sure. I hope so.
I have an appointment today with my GP that I made before to discuss lab work that was done so I will talk to him about it. I will have today and tomorrow to relax a bit. I had an afternoon meeting yesterday and needed to put up the new week’s threads. I almost put it off for evening but decided to do it before the meeting. Glad I did not wait as I could have done nothing last night. Hope I did not mess anything up. Should be covered through next Wednesday.
Might not be around much for a couple of days but will look in when I can. Need the Gerbilly fun.
I find the media quite interesting in that all day long it’s a given that these last two shootings are straight up racism. And echoed by govt officials from Obama all the way down, but now that 2-6 Dallas cops have been shot during a protest in Dallas, well now it’s time to not jump to any conclusions, that even if it was protesters doing the shooting that 99.9% of the protesters were peaceful and you can’t characterize all of them due to the actions of a few.
