Teh Squeaky Wheel
Happy Caturday, GN!
Today’s thread pic made me chortle, Mac.
FWIW, read that ISIS is taking credit for Nice.
Cleveland.com had more than one attempted satirical article re the GOP convention; they were far more corny and clichéd than Henny Youngman on a very off night. (Not linking, ’cause fark ’em.)
Given that city’s public safety ineptitude and corruption, combined with the current political climate both locally and nationally, I expect there will be a whole raft of new, quite unflattering “Cleveland jokes” by this time next week.
They’ll long for the days when people primarily mocked the city over the Cuyahoga River fire back in ’69.
It will be an interesting week in Cleveland. Either incredibly boring or incredibly chaotic. No idea which way it will go.
Claire Wolfe on Ruth Bader:
“And why do so many people consider it somehow “better” if the Nazgul preserve an appearance of impartiality, even when they clearly have agendas? This is like the dysfunctional family that thinks as long as nobody talks about the problem, there is no problem.”
Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Burning rivers and Nazgul -- what a morning!
Hai, Sven and Paddy!
Love teh Claire Wolfe quote.
We should be tossing the Nazgûl -- who have been encased in gasoline-saturated burlap sacks -- into the burning river.
(In fact, I have a simple plan to very significantly reduce the size and scope of government as well as take care of all the underfunded public sector pension obligations across this great nation.) 👿
Just got back from a multi-stop errand run and manged to get into the wrong line at four separate establishments. If only that were worth something other than becoming extremely irritated…
Anyone know what’s up with Rabbit? She’s been gone a long time.
