Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

G’day, Wheelizens!

Not sure I agree with Mac’s thread pic; I haven’t ever seen any raptors in the CasaK cocina. 😉

I still haven’t watched any of the convention or video of same; the GOP is as dead to me as the Democrat Party.

There’s been some good stuff coming out of the convention, for the most part it’s been the non-professional/non-political class that’s given the best talks. But yeah, for the most part it’s been the usual political bullshit.

I still don’t plan to vote for Trump.

And good morning, GN!

Off to teh bestest place ever!

As the best gerbil ever would say: poof!

Heya, Sven!

Appreciate your “capsule summary” of the GOP convention.

Read that the moron who managed to set himself -- and others -- aflame while burning a flag yesterday was told by a cop, “You’re on fire, stupid!”

Seems like a sort of metaphor…

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Our “friends” the Saudis have issued a “me” against Pokémon Go:

It argued the evolution of the creatures in the game, who are given specific powers, amounted to blasphemy, which is prohibited in Muslim law.

The fatwa states: “It is shocking that the word ‘evolution’ has been much on the tongues of children.”

But wait…there’s moar!

It also blasted the game for containing other elements prohibited by Islamic law, including “polytheism against God by multiplying the number of deities, and gambling, which God has forbidden in the Koran and likened to wine and idols”.

The fatwa added that symbols used in the game promoted Japan’s Shinto religion, Christianity, Freemasonry and “global Zionism”.

Fortunately, teh intertoobs did not disappoint when I searched for irrefutable proof of that last claim:

Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

I came home from a ballgame last night to find all sorts of condemnation of Ted Cruz by the political punditry -- broken promise, doesn’t keep his word, this is why he didn’t get the nomination, etc. I looked around to find out what was going on. Apparently, in his speech at the convention, he didn’t endorse Trump. Instead he talked about constitutional conservative ideals and urged people to vote their conscience. Well, we can’t have that now, can we? Ve must all join togezer fur de good of de party!

Peekajew!!!! OMG that is funny!

Sven, could you please poof after you leave the airspace? Thankyouverymuch.

I don’t have cable so the only “coverage” I got is SEE.B.S. They didn’t really cover the speeches. The “journalists” talked about their opinions of the speakers during the speeches. They only showed little snippets of sound bytes. I just couldnt watch for very long. I would have liked to watch the entirety of Ted Cruz’s speech and some of the others but they only showed the part where Trump walked in at the end while they were all booing. They showed it over and I heard “stole Cruz’s thunder” about a dozen times while other speakers were speaking in the background. I didnt tune in to watch the commentators, I tuned in to watch the speeches. Granted, they did show 100% of Pence’s speech, but that was the only one. I like him. I think he was a good choice.
