Watching the talking heads this morning going on about Hillary!’s emails and that she did/never did receive classified emails on her private server.
Here’s where I’m confused: if she never, ever, not in a million years ever received classified information via email, then how was classified information given to her? Or the U.S. Secretary of State never needed classified materials in the performance of her job?
OTOH, despite getting up at 7:00 this morning (which is “sleeping-in” for me lately), I also knew that leftover steak fajitas awaited. (We took FTR and her family out for her birfday dinner last night.)
Teh fajitas provided a little additional motivation; just had a light “brunch” of same; looking forward to more later.

I was watching my copy of Rio Grande, a John Ford, John Wayne western. This was John Ford’s last western and I think it is one of the finest westerns made. There is a minor character who always intrigued me, a tall elegant officer with a French name, Capt. St. Jacques , that wears an eye patch. I decided to look him up and see if he was in other movies, ( I spend many hours on IMDB). It turned out he was in many movies that I have or know but always small parts, most often unaccredited. He has been in many of Ford’s movies as Ford was in the OSS.
This actor, Peter Ortiz, speaks five languages fluently, was born in New York City, Was not just in the French Foreign Legion but was the youngest Sergent in it, was not just a US Marine, but was the most decorated officer, was in the Maquis, and was in the OSS in France. Any one of these earns you solid bads$$ cred but all four??? If a writer had a character like this it would be considered too fantastic. There have been two movies based on his exploits. In one a character based on him is played by by Cornel Wilde. A reviewer was complaining about the complex background of the character and asking why they did not just have him being a Frenchman, obviously not realizing the unrealistic character was because he was based on a real American.
While in France with the OSS he spent time in a bar where he picked up info from German officers. One night one of the officers damned FDR, then damned the USA, then really stepped in it and cursed the United States Marines. Ortiz excused himself, went back to his apartment, put on his Marine uniform complete with decorations, threw on a raincoat, and returned to the bar. He bought a round and then threw off the raincoat. He pointed his pistol at each of the German officers in turn and made them drink to FDR, then he bought another round and made them drink to the United States, then finally the Marine Corp. He then backed out of the bar and disappeared. What fiction writer would get away with having a character do that?
I am not well read on this but I do think this is the only guy I know of that could out bada$$ Christopher Lee.

I think we’ve reached a point where political assassinations will occur either this year or the next. We already have ISIS running killing more or less at will and we’ve got the BLM crowd plotting and carrying out the murder of armed police, so I figure that politicians are next on the list.
The govt response to that is probably not going to be effective or good.
It’s a weird time in America and things are spiraling out of control for no single good reason.
