It’s that middle day of the week thingie, Wheelizens!
Poor, wee thread GIF hedgehog. 🙁
Cleveland sportsball fans had a good night, seeing as how the Cavs and Indians both won. I’d expect a higher-than-normal rate of employee absences across the region today.
Citizen calls cops to report child left in car on hot day. Police arrive, contact owner of car who tells them she doesn’t have a child, doesn’t know how one got into her car and will be back at car in five minutes.
Police could not wait that long.
WAVY reported that the police smashed the windows to Turner’s car, only to find a wig on top of a pile of blankets.
When Turner returned from the store, the police had left, but the damage was evident. The damage left several hundred dollars in repairs. Repairs that Turner said she does not feel she is responsible for.
A reasonable stance, IMHO.
Turner claimed the police told her it could not pay for the damages.
They suggested she file a claim with the city’s risk management department. Because, say it with me, FUCK YOU, THAT’S WHY!
Happy glad-I’m-not-a-hedgehog day, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
I’ve been following some of the city council shenanigans in the city where my MIL lives. The firefighters’ union is endorsing a slate of candidates for city council comprised of one current and two former council members who have previously voted for increased salaries and pensions for public safety workers. The union has put out yard signs and gone door-to-door (in uniforms that look like their regular uniforms, but have slightly different badges) endorsing their candidates. Here’s the kicker, and the thing that most people don’t know: Not a single city firefighter actually lives in the city.

Meh.
Good morning, GN!
Hi Fatwa!
A rough time to be a hedgehog. Poor feller.
Hai, Sven!
Today’s “Fuck You, That’s Why!”:

Four comments? On a Wednesday? What is this, death by hedgehog?
Stumble-by (it’s been a long day):
Hai, Sven!
And yes:
