The Atlanta-based fast food restaurant will be offering up the sandwich featuring thick-cut venison steak and crispy onions topped with a juniper berry sauce on a toasted specialty roll.
Arby’s said the venison is marinated in garlic, salt and pepper and then cooked for three hours. The juniper berry sauce is a Cabernet steak sauce infused with juniper berries.
Um, okay. Good marketing gimmick, I suppose…but it’s not exactly on my bucket list.
Must remember to pickup some candy for the urchins on today’s Waddlemart run…along with a bag of better stuff for VeryScaryK and me. 👿
The heavy rain down here has yet to materialize, but is now predicted to hit in an hour--just in time for me to be on the road. And “heavy” is relative: looks like maybe two inches total.
The Bundy-occupy-standoff case in Oregon had a surprise ending yesterday: not guilty on all counts. What I didnt see was a murder charge brought against them for the death of Robert Finicum who was killed by the FBI in a shootout as they fled by car. I don’t know why they weren’t charged with something along those lines, but so it goes and good on the jury.
I skimmed an analysis of the Bundy / Oregon verdict last night which opined:
1) The Feds could have had a plea deal months ago but elected to “go full retard” and make an example of them.
2) They were overcharged, which led, in the end, to some degree of jury nullification.
Don’t know enough to have a considered opinion of my own.
Looks like not too much rain across metro L.A.; mostly Simi Valley and up the coast from there.
