There is no joy in Mudville Cleveland this morning; meh.
But after more than a century, I s’pose it’s nice for the Cubbies and their fans to finally win the Series. I wonder if they’ve gotten all the drunks off the streets of Wrigleyville yet?
Here’s hoping to leaving those pissed off feelings by the wayside! I’m off to teh bestest place ever, where once again my attitude is apparently a problem. I am sooooooooo disappointed in myself.

I have to say that I thought this was the best World Series I’ve seen in a long time. Two teams that haven’t won it in forever; a great come-back from a 3 games to 1 deficit to force a game 7; a blown lead to tie it up at the end of 9; a rain delay -- iconic.
I took a chance and crashed my sugar level again this afternoon, though not as bad as before. I got it handled but this evening I was still a bit shaky when I took my insulin shot before dinner at about 7:30. As I was putting the vial back into the refrigerator I dropped it and over a hundred dollars worth of insulin was ruined in one second. A vial lasts 6 weeks and I started this one less than two weeks ago.
Had to go to Krogers and wait there for about a half hour for another bottle. $147.00
Just damn. I bought a small plastic box that will hold the bottle with enough padding to hopefully save it if I do it again. I am always careful because of the cost but I was just a bit shaky tonight and hit the shelf in the refrigerator door, knocking it out of my hand. Pfffttt.
Thanks, Paddy. I have been “advised”, believe me. I was alone this afternoon but Elena was here to drive me to Krogers. Probably a good thing. I am lucky I was able to replace it, I know that some people have to stretch out their insulin because of the cost. Some types are much more expensive than what I use, and even this can cost more than twice as much from other stores.
