Teh Squeaky Wheel
Well, I can’t say the “first place Oakland Raiders” anymore. What a dismal performance from the offense and Derek Carr last night. Hopefully with a few more days off before their next game, they can heal up.
Mrs Sven got home safely a few hours ago. She almost spent the night in Atlanta due to overbooking the flight, but I guess they made room for her.
Off to work--good day to all.
Happy Friday, Wheelizens!
Very glad that Mrs. Sven was able to get home early this morning; Atlanta was a frigid 24ºF last night (and has a generally carpy “world’s busiest airport” despite the many tens of millions they’ve put into it since I moved here).
We should be above freezing in another hour or so. And after another two nights in the twenties, we’ll be back to more normal temps.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven-the-First, and Fatwa (does that make you sloppy seconds?)!
Sorry about your Raiders, Sven. It was a good run, but it was bound to happen. Glad Mrs. Sven made it home safely.
Happy Friday, Cali!
The deal with the Raiders, Paddy, and I’ve been getting black looks from other Raider fans at work whenever I mention it, is that you can’t commit 10 penalties every game and expect to win every game. Sooner or later it catches up to you and that was part of last night’s loss. But the bigger factor was the poor play by Derek Carr. No getting around that.
Mrs Sven says she saw Jack Tatum today and made him cuddle, so apparently he’s still alive.
