Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

G’day, Wheelizens --

Love teh thread GIF -- including what you named it, Mac. 🙂

Hope teh Svens are feeling better this morning!

It’s just a hair above freezing here; sure glad I’m not still in NE Ohio (with a forecast high of 15ºF plus 4-8″ of global warmening and sub-zero wind chill).

Someone from DHS has made at least ten attempts to hack the GA Secretary of State’s website since the beginning of the year. All were -- allegedly -- unsuccessful. Jeh Johnson claims to be “investigating” but his story keeps changing.

I wonder how many Esso stations there are inside the Beltway. “evil:

Hacking is the new black. Everyone is doing it or having it done to them.

I think the worst of the hell-flu-cold thing has passed, but I’m as weak as a little kitten and not as cute.

Hi, Fatwa.

Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven-the-Kitty Bonk!

Mac -- the thread gif explains where my cassette of The Knack went.

Sven -- glad you’re over the worst of it. You’d hate to be feeling bad at Teh Bestest Place to Work, Ever!

Teh Older and I went to a pre-screening of Rogue One last night. Very enjoyable. Much better than the last one and the previous three prequels. I didn’t care for the very shallow depth of field the director and cinematographer employed, but the model work was fantastic.

Teh Younger flies home today. The first stop after leaving the airport will be In-n-Out.

Fatwa -- with rain expected this afternoon, I hope your coffers are soon filled with feelthy, feelthy, lucre.

Hai, Sven-the-black-hacker and Paddy-awaiting-In-N-Out-with-teh-Younger!

Sven --

Glad your crud’s moving in the proper direction; hope Mrs. Sven has improved, too.

Paddy --

Hope teh Younger’s commute goes smoothly.

Thanks for teh rainy-day good thoughts; seems like our main service areas are expecting 1.25-1.50″.

Also got handed a pretty large HOA on Tuesday -- 63 units, IIRC -- to look at for reroofing. I’m pretty stoked, as we have an excellent working relationship with one of the principals of the management company. (Largely due to the way I deal with difficult homeowners and then document the incidents in two emails: the official, dispassionate, completely factual version and the “annotated” one which often gets circulated around the office.)

Also because we do an excellent job.
