I had a rough meeting yesterday afternoon with a parent, student, and administrators. The admins basically wanted to expel the kid for lack of attendance and progress, mom wanted to know why they were saying he wasn’t attending when she was watching him doing his school work every day. After the meeting, the mom called me back to vent. Every time I got her calmed down and explained how I was going to work with her and her son to figure things out, she’d flare up again. That lasted another 90 minutes.
Sven -- apparently it’s okay for Democratic members of Congress to meet with the Russians, but not Republican. No one has explained why, yet.
My internet connection started crapping out around 9:45 this morning. What did this impact?
A. 10 am class I help out with
2. Completing documentation for a 2:30 meeting today.
c) 11 am online meeting with student
iv. 1 pm tutoring session
e -- 2:30 meeting
six -- completing work for my credential class
After 45 minutes on the phone with my cable/internet provider, it appears that my wifi router has decided that it doesn’t want to connect to the interwebs. So I’m stuck with one, singular (sensation) hard-wired connection at a time, via my cable modem. No, cat-5 connections through the router don’t connect to the intertubes. Sigh.
BTW, where do you go to buy things like wifi routers IRL? All the brick and mortar computer stores have closed.
Huh. I thought the big lead on the cable news shows would be the arrest for some of the anti-Jewish threats and such. But no, it’s all Russians all the time.

We still have a Fry’s in town, Paddy, but for the most part it’s Amazon City.
You do tutoring online as well? Do you video conference it?
Yes, we have an hour a day of open tutoring -- come in and let us know what you need help with. We use a virtual whiteboard to deliver instruction.
