Jim’s doing a small flat roof in Hermosa Beach today. In addition to the cost of a building permit, he had to purchase a 1-year business license for $300. (The city is literally 1.4 square miles…and can go sodomize itself with a barbed wire appliance.)

The only positive I can think of re Ms. Waters is that, on a good day, she’s ever-so-slightly smarter than her colleagues Hank Johnson and Sheila Jackson Lee.
Massive fire under an I-85 bridge in midtown ATL; looks like about a 40′ section of the northbound section pancaked onto the street below. No injuries but the commute into and out of downtown from / to north of the city is going to be a clusterfark for however many weeks it’ll take to fix it.
Probably some fire damage to the southbound section as well.
Very glad it ought not affect CommuterK’s route too much…if at all.
The current Waters flap is because Bill O’Reilly made fun of her wig and compared it -- not inaccurately, IMO -- to James Brown’s hair. Ol’ Maxine didn’t take kindly to that.
