Much of the aftermath of Manchester is stunningly Orwellian; particularly that the British citizenry ought to adopt the attitude that they’re to blame for wearing such a short skirt.
And because America is so ineffably evil, I suppose we’re partly to blame for having revolted, fought a largely guerilla war and bruised the tender fee-fees of the mightiest empire the world had ever seen upon which the sun never set.
Perhaps America should atone by removing every monument to George Washington from sea to shining sea, since destroying historical monuments has become a thing.
On a less sarcastic note, the deliberate targeting of little girls has pegged my outrage-o-meter every bit as much as 9/11 and Beslan did. It’s probably a good thing I don’t have my finger on the proverbial button.
Fatwa -- I saw an interview last night with a woman who attended the concert in Manchester with her kids. She said she spotted a woman who was acting nervous, holding a bag, and who kept looking over towards where the blast would occur. Eventually, the mother went to the police to report her suspicions -- they basically called her racist and islamaphobic and told her she needed to be more sensitive. The nervous woman left shortly before the bomb went off.
Glad that woman you described acted on her instincts; sad that British cops are, in their own way, just as sucktastic as ours. (Sir Robert Peel must be spinning madly in his grave.)
Just read that the Mum of one of the little girls who was murdered (7-y.o., I believe) is still in a coma and doesn’t know about her daughter.
Islam is fucking cancer; since it apparently will not reform itself, I’m all for doing so with fusion weapons. Any so-called “religion” which approves of using shrapnel bombs on little girls needs to be wiped from the face of this planet. Utterly.
Perhaps when that Million Muslim March descends on Washington DC and the sight of all those Muslims disavowing their radical elements will be the sea change we need.
