Children can be naughty. Elena and her sisters snuck out to see The Exorcist at a theater. They could not sleep for days after and finally went to the local druggist for help. (Druggists were like local cheap Doctors) They were afraid to tell their mother.
A cousin of mine went to see it theatrically one night with some friends while in H.S. It freaked her out.
When she got home, my aunt (who had not seen it but was a practical joker) was writhing around on the bed making horrible, scary noises. Took my cousin about a week to forgive her mom. 😉
I saw it in a theater, too; thought it was a pretty slick horror movie which had a few good “oh shit!” moments, but it didn’t bother me afterwards.
Watched the last episode of the Waco mini-series last night. Hard to take, but as Mac noted, they went for a more PG version of those final hours. I had thought they would spend the whole hour just on Day 51, but it seemed like they spent 30 minutes on it. That being said, I haven’t seen a better produced, more anti-govt version of the Waco story.
The two McNulty documentaries, Waco: The Rules of Engagement and Waco: A New Revelation are both good films and worth watching.
I have both of those and I agree they are both good. I think the first won an award and an Academy nomination. I had my shop when some of the hearings were held about Ruby Ridge and Waco and could watch some of them. My contempt for Democrats really pegged then. I was appalled at the evening news summaries of what I watched during the day. Disgusting.
They really did water down both the first raid and the last, but it was better than so many so called news shows.
I’m keeping an eye out for local 3/24 march for life events in the area. I really don’t want to go to downtown LA, but if Ventura or Santa Barbara have one, I’ll make the trek. Not looking for trouble, but I’d like to see how they react to an old white guy wearing an NRA shirt. And I’d be happy to listen to what they have to say as long as it’s a civil discussion.
Speaking of Joooos, one of the Directors at teh bestest place ever is of that religious persuasion and stopped by my desk last week to make some joke about it raining so hard that you could get extra points for running over nuns. I was a little confused with the logic there, or maybe just didnt get the joke, but I asked him what he had against Catholics that he wanted them dead. I felt a little bad afterwards as he’s a good guy, but I think he had a real “oh shit” moment thinking that I just might be seriously offended.
Happy Caturday, GN!
Our Savior Obama was perfect in every way; the failures of the Promise program are on all of us. 👿
Because Caturday:
Poor kitty. Bad owners.
Hai, Sven!
It’s possible that cat was emphatically told not to watch any scary movies but -- in a cat-like manner -- did whatever it felt like doing.

She still can’t watch it or something like it.
Hai, Mac!
Heh.

CaturdayBreak-dancing Gorilladay, Gerbil Nation!Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, and Mac!
Horror films have never been my genre of choice. A good suspense movie, however, can be wonderful.
Well, either way, those owners should have kept a better eye on that little feller.

Speaking of Linda Blair and pea soup, apparently demonic possession is on the rise.

I blame Trump, Newt Gingrich and the Jooooos.
Of course you do.
And the NRA.
