Was it the lack of cabbage rose that turned you off of that home in Detroit?
Listening to GoodWifeK’s reactions as she clicked through the pics of that house were pretty amusing. Ditto her comments as she “explored” the neighborhood via Street View. (In many regards, Detroit is Cleveland writ large; sad!)
We’re having Dublin Coddle (a braised casserole of bangers, potatoes, onions, bacon, and parsley) and soda bread for dinner, so of course I had to run to three stores to get the ingredients. Yes, I planned to do that yesterday, but work emergencies got in the way. I bought some Guiness to use as the braising liquid for the last hour -- give or take a bit.
I’m not a huge Guiness fan. There are other stouts I like much better. We will have several different beers for people to partake of and Jameson’s Caskmate.
