The victims come from a variety of political parties, with most running for local offices. Officials believe that warring cartels are behind much of the violence as they attempt to gain influence over city governments nationwide. Federal and state governments have begun increasing security, providing many candidates with bodyguards and, in some cases, bullet-proof vehicles, but the measures have so far proven largely ineffective.”

Sven -- of course the MSM weren’t content with reporting the president’s remarks in context (I guess nuance and context are only for D’s), instead they had to edit and editorialize to make the claim that the president said all immigrants are animals. Given the media’s behavior over the last few days, I’m willing to bet they feel the Israel’s defending against invasion by Hamas are animals, but the cartel members in Mexico assassinating politicians aren’t.
The deliberate mis-characterizing of POTUS’ remarks re MS-13 are despicable. I don’t much like him, but that sort of thing is deeply dishonest and very dangerous to our nation.
Damn the media for causing me to have twinges of sympathy for Trump. (And credit where credit is due; he’s done a better job thus far than I would have expected. And I am glad Teh Cankle Lady lost. But still…)
I don’t see any reason why a duo can’t be considered a “band”, although it does seem a bit weird to me. (OTOH, I am a judgmental bastard.) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
