The roofing crew lads are troupers even in excessive heat; they decide for themselves when “enough’s enough”. (They’re not fools, but they are consummate pros with a phenomenal work ethic. Jim generally leaves that decision in the hands of his foreman, who’s not a kid himself and leads by example. Those guys rawk.)
The way the MSM ignores what is going on with our nearest southern neighbor is amazing. My bet is that the amount of coverage of this story will be zero. But sure, let’s not worry about border crossings.
“Less than 20 hours later, there have been 25 murders in Juarez. The cops believe that these are revenge killings for El Genio’s death. Among the murders was the massacre of 11 people in a house in Juarez located near the Cereso at 1205 Oasis de Egipto Street. Among the dead are three women who, according to police investigators, were tortured, raped and strangled. All of the victims were strangled; none were shot or stabbed. Police believe they were lured to the house-- a security house, not a regular house-- and they were overcome, tortured and strangled. Police believe that the sicarios were after two of the victims, and simply killed the other people who happened to be there.”
Happy “That’s definitely not a cat”-urday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Sven -- the violence, corruption, and control exerted by the drug cartels in Mexico doesn’t fit the far-left narrative, and so must be embargoed. To admit the extent of the problems would be to admit that some of those illegally entering our country aren’t coming to forge a better life for themselves and their families and that we should exert tighter control of our borders.
You’re right, Paddy. And I keep forgetting that spark of humanity that still flickers in the divine souls of men that routinely rape, torture, and kill.
Yep. The wall lights that we ordered for above the headboard finally arrived and we just finished installing them.
Well, all done except for the work in the backyard. We’ve removed the turf in one section and will be putting down weed cloth and a couple of inches of 3/8″ gravel. Oh, and a fountain, as well. Of course that means I have to run electrical out to where the fountain will be.
I’ve been working on clearing out/organizing the garage. The goal is to be able to get a car into it.
Oh noes….a dogbear!
Happy Caturday, GN!

BBL.
“Just wrong” is an understatement.

Paddy: home remodeling/repairs continuing or all done for now?

Mac: tests done and results good?
It was put off until this Thursday, Sir. NO COFFEE after noon on Wednesday. Spit.
You’re a tough old bird, Mac -- you can do that standing on your head!
Please don’t give him ideas.
I just did a little over a mile. At least his office has AC, it is 97 in my garage.
On our end, Mrs Sven has finally been able to sell her mother’s house and that part of our lives is almost finished. Been a long time coming.
I didn’t realize that was still on your plate. Well, at least that’s finally done. Things like that can sure take a lot out of you.
