The school year is starting off in traditional bureaucratic fashion -- we don’t have access to the information we need and procedures communicated to us by admin aren’t being followed (by admin).
A former supervisor of mine contacted me about this position. The base pay is more, and there is a chance for a year-end performance bonus. Every supervisor I have worked with at my present school (none are still there, btw) has recommended me for promotion, but in this last round of replacements they didn’t even post the jobs internally. This school year looks to be another scramble with new directives and new ways of doing things, with added tasks and responsibilities. I’ve been spending the past two weeks unofficially training a lot of the new hires when the person tasked with that is too overloaded with other work.

I just got an offer of employment at another online charter school. I must think on this.
Good for you, Paddy -- some good reasons to switch?
