I thought it was -- objectively -- a pretty good arrangement and performance for a ceremonial band; it actually grooved* a little bit to my ears. (Especially compared with the majority of pop tunes I’ve heard arranged for, say, marching or concert bands which I find both sadly comedic and cringe-worthy.)
IMO, it was better than 99% of the arrangements of pop songs for that type of ensemble.

I’ve decided to take the position with the other school. Friday I spent a good portion of my day helping other people solve their problems caused by a lack of training. These problems are exacerbated by the fact that they have no one to turn to for help, except their peers. I then spent another hour after work helping people work through the new timekeeping system so they could get paid. Once the pay period closes, there’s no going back and editing it or approving it (it requires both employee and supervisor approval). I’m sure Mac would recognize all the signs of an organization on the verge of collapse.
Flipping through the McCain Farewell Tour coverage -- never knew that he was so unique, great, humble, wonderful, patriotic, smart, caring, helpful…or that our nation may never recover from our loss.
Whenever members of the McCain entourage, including his rather chubby daughter, make the talk show round, I hope someone asks why Sarah Palin wasn’t there.

From what I’ve seen on Twitter, the Maverick funeral sounds like a slobber fest; someone referred to it as “McCain Holy Week”…heh.
