Good job, Senate Judiciary Committee; you’ve managed to reduce my already-low opinion of the Senate another couple of notches and it’s only Tuesday. Hacks, oath-breakers, partisan filth and cowards all the way down; both sides of the aisle.
Rand Paul’s probably the only U.S. Senator who didn’t deserve to have the shit stomped out of him.
It appears that Prof. Edsel won’t testify under oath if she has to face female counsel experienced in sexual assault allegations and Ramirez won’t talk to Senate investigators, either. Our betters tell us we should believe all survivors (they even have a hashtag!), but are strangely silent on Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, Juanita Broaddrick, and Karen Monahan.
