Mrs Sven returned from a mid-west business trip the other night and was robbed at LAX while waiting for a shuttle. She wasn’t hurt and only lost her wallet with cash and credit cards, so it could have been a lot worse, but still sucko.
I’m glad Mrs. Sven is okay, but what a horrible experience to go through! I’m really surprised, given the number of people and law enforcement in the area, that it happened. Just, wow.
Thanks, guys -- she’s OK, just mightily pissed. Airport police showed up two hours later, and the cameras in that area of the airport were down so no video. And the cops attitude, it being LA and all, were so what do you want us to do?

Mrs. Paddy arrived a little early, after an uneventful couple of flights. It’s good to have her home again. Now Teh Younger and I are going to install a light fixture in his bedroom ceiling. We’ve got to re-route the electrical from a switched outlet to a ceiling box that we’re putting in.
Pissed-off to read about Mrs. Sven getting robbed at LAX. Glad she’s okay, aside from her wallet being taken but criminy! Haven’t flown in or out of that place in a lot of years, but it used to be crawling with aggressive, armed goonyun donut-swillers.
Hope they catch the rat bastard and he resists…
Glad Mrs. O’ is safely home, too. Hope that the electrical work doesn’t require an additional trip to Home Labyrinth.
Yes, it did (actually there’s an OSH nearby that is very convenient, but they’re going out of business). I needed an additional cable clamp and more wire nuts. Now it’s too hot to go back up in the crawl space to finish the job (no cable has been cut yet, so power is still on to everything) and Teh Younger has to go off to work.
