Red flag warning commences in a few hours -- SoCal Edison will be trying something different and cutting off power before the winds kick up in some areas to avoid downed power lines starting a fire. Trying to figure out which specific areas could be affected is not easy -- expect we are one though.

Odd. The local news is not making a big deal out of this, but others are:

“Across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, this upcoming Santa Ana event is expected to be the 4th strongest in 35 years.”

“Red flag warnings in effect for southwest CA starting at 10pm this evening and continuing through 8pm Tuesday. Wind gusts to 65 mph in the mountains and 50 mph valleys/coasts of Ventura & Los Angeles Counties with single digit humidities. #CAwx #LAweather”

Two good sources of information:

It’s calm outside right now, but best to be prepared.
