Teh Squeaky Wheel
Monday salutations, GN!
IIRC, that “paving issue” occurred in Atlanta a couple of years back; love teh thread pic.
…it’s more newsworthy when a celebrity loses one of their mansions…
Especially in L.A. (I suspect there might be an element of jealousy and/or schadenfreude re the reportage.)
Nowhere I’ve lived is anywhere near as obsessed with celebrities as Los Angeles, which always struck me as odd given they’re a dime a dozen there.
Hope the Santa Anas kicking up again doesn’t make things too much worse over the next couple of days.
Hi, Fatwa. Happy Monday, GN!
Winds held steady during the night, but no major incidents to report. Heading back into work today -- here’s hoping it’s a quiet one.
Hmmmm. I wonder how much “uncounted ballots” are selling for at Amazon? Free 2-day delivery with Prime membership?
Wishing you an all-around quiet day.
As rancorous as the gubernatorial race is here, it looks like there’s buttloads of blatant election fraud in FL. (Pretty sure there’s fraud going on in GA, but the election’s not nearly so close. At least not yet…)
Happy Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Sven -- prayers that your neck of the woods stays fire free.
It’s hard to believe the chief election officer of Broward County isn’t behind bars.
Wrote too soon -- hectic scramble to ge tback home -- looks promising tho -- packed up just in case
Jim told me about the Rocky Fire (working along E.L.A. in Simi today); hope they get that knocked down fast.
They knocked it down fast, Fatwa -- no structural damage. 180 acres last I heard. But the winds are here for another 2 days.
Was just reading about that; glad to see they got that one out so fast.
Hope no more fires get started.
Maaaan…if there’s any heavy rain this winter, it’ll be Mudslide-O-Rama in some of those burn areas.
Raiders. Every time you think they’ve hit bottom, they dig deeper. Brutal.
If you’re still watching this Raiders team, the blame falls on you --
The idea that we should feel sorry for Raider fans because of the shameful way they have been treated by their team has run its course. At this point, what you choose to do with this vat of hot tar with helmets is entirely your doing.
Mrs. Paddy and I spent the afternoon in Temecula -- the winds were fierce, at times, and I wondered how things were at Sven’s Mountain Redoubt.
