…and then Peter Townsend picked up the guitar, whirled it twice over his head and then smashed it on the stage.

A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!

I wonder what effect that cat has on the sound?

The winds have died down around here, but the rains are scheduled to arrive soon. Looking at the seasonal rainfall totals, the SoCal region is slightly ahead of where we should be at this point in the season. We could use well above that, but I’ll take what we can get.

Oh boy…it’s MEGA COLOSSAL SPORTSBALL GAME LIII SUNDAY!!1!

And CasaK sits fewer than three dozen miles from where it’s all happening!!1! I’m so thrilled, I could soil my pantaloons.

(Oh wait, that’s old age, not thrill; nevermind.)

…and then Peter Townsend picked up the guitar, whirled it twice over his head and then smashed it on the stage.

Heh.

As a kid, I really hated The Who doing that. While I understood the instruments were their property to do with as they liked, it still bothered me a lot they were destroying perfectly good musical gear.

I wonder what effect that cat has on the sound?

Pretty sure it’s…catastrophic.

There must be a playbook.

“Despite his repeated promises of “transparency” and “accountability,” Acevedo was also hazy on the crucial point of whether Tuttle knew that the armed men breaking into his house, whose first action after entering was to kill his dog with a shotgun, were police officers.”

That whole story has stunk from the git-go. IIRC, the warrant listed heroin and a 9mm semi-auto, neither of which were found during the search. It also seems the door-breachers were plain-clothed.

But the murder victims were supposed to intuit the violent thugs breaking down their door and shooting the dog were “brave, heroic sheepdog good guys”.

I will be unsurprised when it eventuates the cops were mostly struck by friendly-fire; wouldn’t be the first time that occurred during a stupid no-knock raid.

Sadly, and I mean that sincerely in this case, that’s how the sheriff was killed in Thousand Oaks during the shooting at the Borderline Bar last year. He’d been hit 5 times by the shooter, but the fatal shot came from CHP.

I’d forgotten that shitty part of the story.

Yay! (So long as it doesn’t cause problems for anyone I like.)

Almost time to head to the bar and watch the game. Not excited about it, but we’ll be with friends so that will be OK. And I got money in a pool or two.

Heard a lot about how the NFL’s teevee ratings are up -- the obvious answer as to why is pretty simple: the networks stopped showing player protests by not showing the national anthem. Out of sight, out of mind. And the players obviously never really cared about what they claimed they were protesting as they never moved their kneeling protests to another broadcast aspect of the game like the coin toss or opening kickoff.

Fake news is not just broadcasting lies or from bias -- it’s also about what the networks and the media choose not to research, broadcast, or publish. The NFL ratings are a good example.

Or it might be because of the Jooooooos.
