Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Happy Red Panda Ring-a-ding Tuesday, Wheelizens!

Did it come with the Dillon mini-gun option?

Sadly, no. But we’re looking at aftermarket HeNe laser kits; not sure where we could install the capacitors but PMK is a clever lad. 👿

Still half-buried in roofing-related paperwork, but a lot of it is invoices and new “opportunities” (including a couple of large ones; yay!).

Forthcoming mini-rant about Georgia’s rip-off Title Ad Valorem Tax on vehicle purchases when I’ve got the time and energy.

Taxation is theft; BTFSTTG!

Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

Teh Older went out last night to do some owl banding for one of his classes. He got to hold a Barn owl, a Screech owl, and a Red-tailed hawk. Apparently most raptors become quiescent when you hold them by the legs. His first comment when he walked in the door, late last night -- “Owls are the softest things, ever!”

CA’s new governor, Gavin Newsom, gave a state of the state speech today. On the plus side, he’s given up on Brown’s bullet train altho not entirely. This quote explains one of his reasons for not full abandoning the project: “And by the way, I am not interested in sending $3.5 billion in federal funding that was allocated to this project back to Donald Trump.”

I’m wondering if anyone in the media or government will pick up on that. It isn’t Trump’s money -- it’s taxpayer dollars from all across the country that Newsom is going to hold on to, not that he needs it cuz he admits the whole bullet train project is bullshit and he’s only trying to salvage what he can, and he’s keeping it cuz he doesn’t want Trump to have it.

Absolutely amazing. If you don’t live in CA, you ought to be furious with this arrogance.
