We had an interesting time in El Centro. After touring the facility, I met with the office manager and facilities manager, while Mrs. Paddy and my SiL met with their cousin to ask questions without me around. They got no answers, just evasions and “I’m sorry”. My SiL says it sounds like I was set up to fail. On the trip home, we got into some horizontal snow in the mountains and drove through some clouds that significantly reduced visibility. At lower elevations we encountered lots of rain.
Sheesh. Home. Tired, but tell you what -- the weather out here has been simply gorgeous. This is the first real winter like season that I can recall in years. Big nasty looking clouds, lot of rain, cold weather, wind, even a bit of snowfall (of no real account) in the SFV this afternoon. The mountains are just beautiful and green. It’s really something.
Glad you got home safely, Paddy. Hi, Fatwa. Hello Mac -- I know you are lurking out there probably with a cat in your lap. My love to all…in a manly friendly way. Nothing weird. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it’s just not what’s on my mind.
I would have bet large dollars, Mac, that there’d be a cat on your lap and and one at your feet. And that both of them would be plotting some mischief…
No cats for about 20 years, Sven, except when we babysit some. Too old and my compulsive aspects make it unlikely. They have gotten worse as I get older.
Hollywood is interesting. Roseanne Barr sends a tweet with racial overtones making fun of Valarie Jarrett and she’s immediately kicked off of her rather highly rated show. Smollett tries to initiate a race war in an attempt to make himself relevant…and he still has a job on his show.
And the difference is? I can almost put my finger on it…
Quite odd at teh bestest place ever. My department is running at an annual turnover rate of 45% over the last 14 months. Another one gave notice today. These kids.
