Rain should be arriving around 9 this morning. I really wish the state had actually used water bond money to build water storage, like they promised. I read some figures recently about the amount of water being released from Prado Dam on the Santa Ana river. That river has quite a number of settling ponds and recharge basins to allow the released water to recharge the aquifer. That’s great, except the recharge rate is far less than the release rate, meaning that a lot of that water is going straight to the ocean.

It’d also be nice if CA’s gas tax money went toward maintaining roads, instead of subsidizing public transit.
