If “high fives” had been a thing when I was a kid, I might have done the thread pic thing to my brother. (Not kidding…he was kind of a dick in re taking advantage of me being a “too nice” older brother. Until I put a stop to that when I was about eleven.; he would have been eight or nine.)
I wonder what POTUS / FLOTUS gave the Queen? (That Churchill book sounded like an excellent gift to Trump.)
Glad I mowed the front lawn yesterday morning given we have several days of thunderstorms headed our way. (I really missed those during my time in CA.)
Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
I wonder what POTUS / FLOTUS gave the Queen?
Here’s what I found online:
The President and First Lady brought the Queen a silver and silk Tiffany & Co. poppy brooch, in a custom wood White House jewelry box in a red leather box. The poppy is a symbol of a remembrance, usually of the soldiers lost in the First World War, but it may have been chosen in part to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day, which is Thursday.
I also saw this:
The Trumps also brought Prince Philip a gift. Though the Duke of Edinburgh was not in attendance at any of the official events, the President and First Lady gave him a personalized Air Force One jacket and the signed autobiography of legendary World War II aviator James Doolittle, I Could Never Be So Lucky Again. Prince Philip is a pilot and World War II veteran.

BBL.
Lawns sound like a lot of work. Have you thought of replacing it with gavel?
Analysis: True.
Mornin’, Sven!
SackO’SugarK is not a fan of xeriscaping. (Nor am I, truth be told.)

Given the Queen’s own WW2 service that seems very nice.
Hey, Paddy!
Those gifts are a tich classier than an iPod full of Il Douchey’s speeches. (Or of Trump’s Tweets.) 😉
Thanks a bunch for that info.
Hi, Mac!

From today’s emailbag:
Good thing I wasn’t eating or drinking when I read that.
