If it doesn’t rain too much overnight, I guess I’ll hit the back grass tomorrow, since we’re expecting eight days of scattered / isolated thunderstorms.

I think I’ll pass on the goat idea, since I’d have to shovel goat shit…or hire-in flies to deal with it. And then we’d need carp tonnes of spiders to deal with the flies.

I tried a demo of MS Office for Mac sometime during the nineties; gah! Wound-up purchasing Word Perfect instead and used it for about a decade. (And can still access those old docs using a third-party app -- Libre Office -- which is handy occasionally for old JimCo paperwork. The formatting gets a bit hosed, but they’re readable.)

Watching the anti Trump/Israel news conference courtesy of Omar and that other one, I know beauty is only skin deep, but the women they have ranging in back of them are some of the ugliest women on the planet. Not that there’s anything wrong with that -- I’m sure they are wonderful human beings.
Same old song and dance -- we’re in exile, our land is occupied, if Israel would just treat us like human beings we could all live in peace -- coupled with the obligatory tears and pauses to collect oneself.

I’m still amused at the whole “Fredo” crisis and uproar. I think I’ve watched Godfather 1 all the way through, but it was probably 30 years ago -- never have watched 2 or 3, but then I’ve never sat through Scarface or Gone with the Wind either.
I had an uncle in Baltimore, who with a bunch of other Italian Americans staged protests against theaters that were showing Godfather 1 when it first came out. He was incensed about the depiction of Italians as all being members of the mafia, but I don’t think that even he would have been thrown into a tizzy over someone being called Fredo.
I had another uncle living in Chicago during the ’68 convention riots and he told me how protesters had stopped traffic on one of the highways and that girls were jumping on the hoods of stopped cars and lifting their skirts to show their genitals. His response was “In Italy during the war, we came into a town where the mayor was hung from the church steeple, and then his wife had been hung from a rope tied around his feet, and from her feet the retreating Germans had hung their three children. And someone thinks that flashing their hairy tw*t is going to shock me?”
What “outrages” some people anymore is beyond my comprehension, but maybe because I can’t tell if they are serious or not.
