Glad to read your ex-neighbor’s doing better; it was very kind of you to stop by the hospital yesterday. Good. Gerbil.
”We may be living in an age where certain pockets of the corporate world are breathlessly adapting to women’s needs — company-subsidized tampons, salary workshops, lactation rooms. “
I’m old enough to remember when both the civil rights and women’s movements were (allegedly) about equal treatment under the law. Funny how those worthy original goals have been so perverted over the past half-century that I have -- with abundant cause -- become the “angry old white man” of legend.
Be careful, Fatwa: your toxic masculinity is showing.

It’s odd that Gov. Newsom has been touting how wonderful CA is and that he’s generated a $20B budget surplus and yet he and other mayors have their hands out to Trump for more money to “solve” the homeless problem.
Trump ought to stay out of this completely -- this is a local problem and if LA or SF can’t handle it, then it’s a state problem. The rest of the country shouldn’t be paying for our failures….not that throwing more money at this will solve it in any case.
Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Sven -- you are absolutely correct regarding the homeless issue. This is something for the cities to handle -- they’re the ones that are exacerbating the situation with their policies.
Cheery Midweek Day, Wheelizens!
Sven --

Heya, Sven and Paddy (and Mac)!
For the record, I took a shower this morning and am wearing pants. Harrumph!
So CalPERS and MediCal are on their way to being solvent? 👿
No offense to fam and friends in CA, but I really don’t want to pay for teh Golden State’s shitty policies. I did enough of that when I lived there.
I thought your people had an aversion to showers.
It’s okay…ours only uses gas to heat the water. 🙂
LOL
