Went to see Teh Children yesterday and had a lovely time but maaaan…it was exhausting. Got to play some four-person games on their Nintendo Switch, which was actually pretty fun.
Wireless controllers with motion sensors certainly allow a lot of possibilities. Things have come a long way since Pong and Asteroids. 🙂
I’ve watched a few walkthroughs (or playthroughs) of current-ish games and am amazed by their sophistication. Not just the graphics, which I find beyond stunning. But also the stories, the way the stories are affected by decisions made in-game, the non-player characters, etc. Many of them are getting close to being interactive movies.
I’ve seen a few which really impressed the hell out of me in many regards.
Back in the day, I enjoyed the first few Myst and Lara Croft games, but most of the current stuff just doesn’t appeal enough to me to purchase them. (Although I’d purchase “Obduction” if it ran on my current Mac.)
Got some stuff to do in the morning and then over to the hospital. We’ll attempt to get his sister (lives in Detroit) involved this morning with his care/decisions. I’m hoping that maybe she or one of her kids can maybe come out to lend a hand.
Overall, this is one of the better hospital experiences I’ve encountered. Staff is uniformly polite and professional and the place appears clean and well run.
Listening and watching some of the cable news on Trump. Song from Texas Hippie Coalition kind of describes my feelings on their latest tragedy or crisis:

Back home. A difficult but hopefully productive day wading through stuff. Both of us are tired. Going to make dinner and then an early night and get ready for another exciting week at teh bestest place ever. Will probably taking some time off this week or at least short days. I sure hope the place can get by without me.
