Hi, Fatwa. Yeah, quite the to do over the football fundraiser being canceled. I’m not ready to jump all in on this one yet -- I still feel it’s over the top outlandish -- and yet maybe 100% true.
Well there was some instant karmic blowback. I hit the Post Comment button, took a sip of limoncello (who the hell turned me on to THAT poison), choked, and passed some of it back through my nose. Stuff burns.
That reminds me, I should filter my current batch and add simple syrup to bring it down to acceptable levels. I’ll also take a portion and make Crema di Limoncello. Yes, that’s right, limoncello in a cream base with a touch of vanilla.
Finally had chance to listen to Charlie Musselwhite’s version of “Christo Redentor”, which I know was a hit for him years ago.
I was previously only familiar with the original version, which was recorded by jazz trumpeter Donald Byrd; it was written by his pianist at the time: Duke Pearson. (Pearson also wrote one of my fave jazz standards “Jeanine”, which later had lyrics added by Oscar Brown, Jr.)
The jazz version of “Cristo Redentor” (composer’s spelling) has rather different chords and a somewhat different melody.
Just saw this. Don’t know the credibility but With something like this it would have been much better for Trump and others to stay silent on it. The left loves to do things like this and other leftists look silly when they jump on it and try to get mileage out of it. This was too far off and people should have waited for it to sort out.
A good comparison, Sir. I have only seen the claim and not any evidence so far so it is still not settled, obviously the Left wants this to be the case and will claim it regardless, but this story would have saved well and I really think a wait and see move would have been best. If it was not discredited then it would play well, and if it is discredited then jumping on it early hurts those who fall into the trap. False flags ops and fake hate crimes are just too common now. I even wondered if this was a crude double false flag attempt by AOC people, but if she is connected to this group then I can’t consider that credible. It was just too extreme and over the top.
It is ironic that what seems to mark so many of these fake hate crimes is the Democrats believing their own smears and claiming Trump supporters engaging in conduct they just do not do, but are claimed to do by Democrats.
And of course they are called a “pro Trump group”, but the same is done when fake MAGA bigots are exposed as Democrats and Hillary or Obama voters so it will pass.
