Sorry you guys had to empty your fridge; hope there wasn’t a lot to toss. What an asinine situation…
Jim teh Roofer’s power stayed on yesterday and SCE’s map of where they may pull the plug doesn’t include his house. We’ll see…
Read that 500,000 customers in the Bay Area lost their power yesterday; hope they’re mad enough to make a shit-tonne of trouble for the (ir)responsible pols and execs who caused that, but think it’s unlikely.
The winds have not started yet -- little breezy is all. Supposed to kick up in a few hours and then the strongest blow will make an appearance in early afternoon.
The other day at work, a coworker pointed out a sign in the applicant interview room that read “Ready to try a new position at teh bestest place ever?”
Oh the possibilities if only there weren’t a camera right there…
I hear there was a fire on the hills on the other side of the 118 from the Mountain Redoubt. Social media is reporting that it’s already out, which is good. Meanwhile, there are several more fires in the Inland Empire.
Yeah that one was 1.5 miles from here, but in an easily accessible location. Lucky there. South of us in Riverside, not so much. Newbury Park has got one going too -- that’s toward Jim’s place, Fatwa.
G’day, Wheelizens!

=============================
I commend whoever made this:
Thanks for stepping in as thread boy, Fatwa.
Re: SF -- I bet they are all happy and proud to experience just a little bit of what the homeless put up with every day.
Oh, SF isn’t having to experience a lack of electricity. SF is the one part of the bay area that isn’t having their power cut.

I wonder what will happen when with the power outages another fire starts up? Who to blame then?

The jokes, they write themselves.
And I’m off! Best get a move on before windageddon arrives. Poof.
Thank you for saving the day, Fatwa. My bad. I just got up and realized I messed up so I rushed to set one up but you had already stepped up.
De nada, sir; you are ever our stalwart ThreadLad (which is greatly appreciated).
Usually, I step in it.
OK, should be set up through Wednesday. A little crazy so far this week.
Thank you, Mac!
Hope your week settles down.
Pffffft…I did next to nothing.
Just hope that everything’s okay in MacLand.
How about teh Joooos; they almost never get blamed for anything.
If it involves bending over and grabbing your ankles…run!!1!
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, and Mac!
Pffft -- that’s just the orientation. Wait until the work really begins.
Ditto.
I hear there was a fire on the hills on the other side of the 118 from the Mountain Redoubt. Social media is reporting that it’s already out, which is good. Meanwhile, there are several more fires in the Inland Empire.
Criminy…I hope they all get knocked down quickly.

Then there’s the one in Sylmar. The 210 has been shut down and they will probably shut down the 5 soon.
These are some nasty winds -- could be a long night tonight, but we still have power.
