Good morning, Fatwa, and Mac!
Finishing up the morning tasks, checking the traffic, then we’ll be off. We’ve decided to take the more scenic 101, rather than taking the 5 up through the central valley.
There’s only one television series that’s on my must watch list -- Mr Inbetween on FX. It’s about an Australian hit man, Ray, and his daily struggles. It’s not a premise that I would normally find attractive, but they really pull it off without pulling any punches. Dark, moody, but seriously funny and believable. Season 1 was only 6 episodes, but Season 2 promises to be longer and it started last month. The video below starts with a great scene about how best to interact with the police.

We had a bit of wind here last night. Heavy lightning and thunderstorm with heavy hail last night. A tornado hit Dallas and did some significant damage, destroyed a fire station, a Home Depot, and a section of small business, but no loss of life so that was a night surprise. It dumped on us pretty good through the night and her sister’s house was really shaken, nobody got sleep and many traffic lights were out today messing up the commute. I think we all came through undamaged this time so that was nice.
I guess that “chancla time” was inevitable…

Back to fire watch -- strong winds starting tonight and high temps coming tomorrow. A few small fires burning around the southland.
