It looks like I did get Harper’s cold. But it feels like it’s not too bad. She is almost over hers too. We keep forgetting, but we’re supposed to get flu shots every year, because of the treatment Harper gets. We’ll probably do it this week barring another setback. (like this cold here)
Also, should I recognize the people in the picture. Does it date me that I don’t know? It’s not the Beatles, right? Is it the Bee Gees? That would get us to the “wrongness” category. KC and the Sunshine band?
By the way, you may or may not know this, but I have Facial Blindness ™. So until I know someone very well, I have trouble recognizing them.
Friday. Thank you, God. Glad you are feeling better, Fatwa. And put on your superhero garb and get to work. Picture all them sad Angelenos emptying pots and pans filled with water that they had to place under their roof leaks. It’s a crisis that only YOU can rectify.
Hmmmmm. Anything new on the impeachment front? Nope.
Impeachment: A brace of Democrats just came out publicly. announcing that they are not supporting impeachment. I’m not sure how this affects things, but I did read somewhere that Botox Nancy needs all the democrats if she is to be successful in a vote.
Articles of Impeachment are passed by a simple majority. There are currently 233 Democrats, 1 Independent, and 197 Republicans. If everyone shows up, then 19 Democrats would have to vote no on impeachment for it to fail (assuming all Republicans vote no).
That’s what I thought. But I sorta recall a few other Dems intimated a while back that they don’t think any of this rises to the level of impeachment.
Just personally a president making a pretty run of the mill diplomatic phone call doesn’t seems like anything, really.
I know I’m restating the obvious, but it seems like this is all happening because it is the only way the Dems think they can win. If so, it appears to be backfiring.
All of those water-filled pans will help to keep folks’ skin hydrated so they stay all youthful-looking and carp…what could possibly be more “L.A.” than that? 👿
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Fatwa -- I’m glad you’re feeling better in time for the weekend.
The state has decided to transition all special education student data from a specialized database to the database that contains all student records. The transition started last year, but this is the first year that schools are required to generate transaction reports that compare the information they have in there own systems with what the state has, and correct any errors. There are multiple transaction reports to generate and they have to be done sequentially, with all errors corrected before the next report can be run. At the meeting I was at on Wednesday, it was suggested that due to server loads, all reports should be run after hours. Each report may take several hours to run otherwise. Are there deadlines on our end? Of course! What if the errors are caused by bad data in the state system? We have to fix those, then re-run the reports.
“Mornin'” Gerbils. At least it morning for me. I have this split shift thingy I do at my Job, so it’s been easier to sleep late so I don’t have to nap between midnight and 4am. It just becomes a nice leisurely 4 hour lunch now.
Cone of Shameful Cookie Cutting salutations, Wheelizens!
Finally feel like I’m on teh mend this morning; sorry for getting the rest of you sick. I dinnae mean t’ do that.
Okay…gotta start catching-up with all the carp that didn’t get done the past several days; BBIAB.
Here’s some wrongness to tide you over:

It can be very embarrassing.

Hmmmmm. Does the left still hate me? Yes.

What say you?

Hi dv8! Time is all relative, so “Mornin” is as good as anything else.
Ugh. Split shifts suck out loud.
