Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Happy Wednesday, Wheelizens!

Didn’t watch the SOTU last night but understand that many Dems behaved poorly, including Nancita tearing-up the copy of the address she was given. (Which I believe was presented to her in her capacity as the “Speaker of the House”; what a petulant, nasty bint she is.)

Assuming the expected impeachment vote result in the Senate today, it’ll just add to the Dems terrible, no good, very bad week.

I hear Iowa beta tested their voting app yesterday.

Alleged sooper-seekrit “proof of concept” video of said app:

Good morning Miss Harper and Fatwa -- happy Wednesday, GN!

As much as I loathe Pelosi, tearing up Trump’s speech at the end of the SOTU was a masterstroke. Dramatic without being over the top and with all eyes focused on her, it gave an immediate counterpoint to what was otherwise a very good Trump win. I’m sure that picture is on the front page of many newspapers this morning

Gooooood morniiiiiing, Harper and Sven!

Fatwa, you always bring Teh Funny!

Thank you, ma’am; you’re too kind.

…Wheelerinoes!

I “heard” that in Ned Flanders’ voice.

I’m sure that picture is on the front page of many newspapers this morning.

I suspect you’re right, Sven. (Wonder if that technically broke any regs re retention of official federal docs…)

BBL.

According to the crew over at The Daily Wire the actual requirements of the State of the Union are that the president delivers the document (the document being the “speech” which he isn’t required to speak, as such) to the Speaker of the House.

It appears that was an official document, however, whatever gravitas Ms Pelosi , or The Face of Bo as I like to call her, had when she was a young woman playing at being an elder statesman is lost to the general degradation of years living by her philosophy compounded by the pressures of being faced with the young ones in”The Squad”.

Hi, Paddy-O and Sven! Nice to see you both!

Happy Historic Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Harper, and Sven!

After the Senate vote on impeachment today, I wonder what Congress will do with their time? Perhaps I should move a few more shekels to that off-shore account.

Harper tells me that the State of the Union speech was a very good one. I read a few excerpts last night on The Daily Wire. I didn’t remember John Boener showing Pres Obama such disrespect, and I’m happy to find out my memory was correct.

Even when Pres. Clinton was being impeached (which I thought back then was a bad idea) the opposition maintained proper decorum on these traditional events. What Pelosi did might be good optics for her base, perhaps, but it does seem kind of scummy as well.

Has anyone around here ever read “The Art of the Deal?”

In fact, I’m surprised more people in the media haven’t pored through it in order to understand Trump’s negotiating style.

I know one of the most powerful tactics is to position oneself to be underestimated.

The SOTU happened last night, and the Twitteratti are talking about how the President doesn’t know which sports team is in which Kansas city.

Seems like another deliberate misdirection on Pres. Trump’s part. It… you know… just seems like the kind of thing he would know.

4D chess again? You tell me : )

I’ve never read the book, but compared with ” I’ve now been in fifty …. seven states? I think one left to go. One left to go. Alaska and Hawaii”, I think Trump’s gaffe (if it was one) is rather meaningless.
