Trying to make sure there is more than enough protein in the comfort food is a constant struggle.

I’d just like to eat mac and cheese all day and watch cartoons like when I was a little kid.

Grill a chicken breast or two and add it to your mac and cheese, or some bacon.

Bacon would be good! I just made up some actual mac and cheese with 1 pound of ground beef . I have some additional cheese sauce mix that I buy in bulk from WinCo down in Phoenix. So, I put that along with some milk into the cooked meat so as to flavor and not divert the sauce from the mac and cheese box. It’s a “Deseret Farms” product and is SUPER tasty. I don’t know what the secret is, but it’s amazing. Anyway, there’s plenty left for Harper when she wakes up.

Anyway, bacon would have been a nice addition to it.

And as per Paddy: Chicken and Bacon is a good combo also. I’ll do that next batch.

Did a piano stream last night/morning. Live streamed on the usual 5 platforms. Also put it on bitchute. Still think the levels aren’t quite right but I’m getting closer. I think it looks better when I wear a dark shirt with light colored sleeves instead of the other way around.

You can tell the levels are still off because the microphone is still way louder when I turn it on and talk at the very end.

Harper loves it when I do stuff like this, trouble is, I lack ambition, direction, motivation, courage, and probably more.

She also loves my sonnet project which I did for 6 months but feel very guilty for having abandoned.

which can still be found languishing at davidemeron.com

Monday salutations from creepily-quiet Larryville, Wheelizens!

Feel extra-frustrated this morning over the impossibility of getting honest info about the Chinese Lung Rabies. Can’t shake the feeling we’re being played big-time…and that too many people are pursuing their various agendas with even less “oversight” than usual.

Paddy --

Sorry to read about The Ocean Institute effectively losing that ship; hope any negative impact on The Younger’s employment isn’t too bad.

Sven --

I suppose it’s a good thing the vermin like your nuts. 😉

That’s the most awesome graphic ever. I’d maybe add one line in the center: “You are here: Atlas Shrugged”

I was pondering the various agendas one night and I swear, I managed to circle around and blame “Logan’s Run”.

Well, truth be told, I blamed “Logan’s Run” because it was funny.

I read that out loud, LA_TeX, and Harper said, and I quote, “She is a delight! A very funny Gerbil!”

Hi, dv8!

Dang it! I could swear I refreshed just before posting my initial comment this morning; if I’d seen you’d beaten me here, I’d’ve said “hey” earlier.

Not at all : ) When I look at the timestamps, it looks like we definitely could have been typing at the same time. Sometimes, we pause to look things over and refill our coffee, etc. When I post at this time, I usually see that you have posted after I hit the post button even if there was nothing on the thread before.

by the way, there is a “new” scenario via epidemiologists at Oxford wherein they have reason to believe that because of the Chinese communist deception re the infection, a lot more people have been infected and had mild or no symptoms. which makes it out to be possibly much less deadly than previously thought.

The more paranoid guy in England is cautious about that view but he has downgraded his doom predictions somewhat as a result of the last couple of weeks of numbers.

I’m not sure how oxford can test this hypothesis though.

Maybe with some random testing to determine the real penetration of the disease. But then they’d have to test for the disease and the antibody because people who got it in November or December probably test negative by now.

But if China suppressed the information about the infection for several months it definitely spread all over China and to some extent, the rest of the world before the pandemic was actually announced.

As I understand it, these infections break out pretty often in China and they usually burn themselves out, which is why the Commies choose to keep quiet about them. It just so happened that THIS particular infection had some more serious outliers, and therefore information leaked out about it.

the Oxford model suggests that at least 50% of the UK population is or was infected.

I’ve pondered this possibility, too.

Part of why I’m so skeptical and think that, perhaps, there has been a knowing overreaction by wannabe totalitarians of various stripes.

understandable. But one hopes it’s just over cautiousness--that, coupled with our human brain’s inability to fully internalize the exponential effect.

We hear: The infection could have started spreading maybe a couple of months earlier, and we can’t appreciate the scope of where things would be now given what we THINK we know about this disease. But if you apply the math in that case, you get a much worse pandemic 80 or 90% penetration, 100’s of millions dead, so clearly if the early penetration theory is correct then the virus isn’t as deadly as we thought, it just has more pronounced outliers than the average flu.

One can hope this is the case.

I was looking for a better, more normal job before all this started. Still, as it turns out, I get to keep working which many others haven’t, so that’s good anyway.

Just me thinking out loud after reading a few things this morning and last evening.

Good morning Mac!! Good to see you.

Thing is we had a kind of weird flu in December 2019 It wasn’t too bad but it was odd in some ways. Harper had it much worse than I did. What if that was the Commie-19 virus and we never even knew it.

Happy Pandemic Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8, and Fatwa!

dv8 -- I’ve been listening to your piano stream as I’ve read through the threads and gone through the morning work emails. Your composition seems very fitting for this morning. Mrs. Paddy loves it and was shocked when I said you don’t do this for a living. She’d happily buy a CD of work like that. Can you pass on your youtube or other channel where she can listen to your music?

Hey Paddy, nice to see you. What you’re hearing is a method of improvising in multiple lines. That’s why I live stream it, sort of. Anyway, Click on my nickname, and I think it goes to my youtube, but just in case that doesn’t work.

http://youtube.com/curvycom

most of my social media is “curvycom” twitter, facebook, gab, bitchute, etc.

my nickname here “dv8” is a reflection of a pre internet nickname given to me by Worlock, this one hacker dude. But it’s too obvious a nickname, so on most platforms, I found it to be already taken, whereas “curvycom” is not since it’s a contraction of a domain I own.

Anyway, all my piano streams are on that youtube, along with lots of game streams and other low effort random stuff.

So because this site was so niche, I was able to get “dv8” which I rarely can do under most circumstances. And I think Harper originally referred to me as dv8 on the original DHD site, which is why I registered under that name on the previous TSW.

Happy Monday, GN! Lot of stuff to read through here today…thanks!

Had Dem Pres Candidate Cuomo on in the background saying how NY is not an anomaly and that what is happening there will happen EVERYWHERE. I disagree. When all is said and done, I’ll bet that the number of cases and deaths in NY will be much higher than the national average.

Meeting time. BBL

Good Evening EveryGerbillyBody from the still-too-quiet SE Texas prairie!

It’s been a cloudy and grey day, which kind of matches the current state of affairs.

But if China suppressed the information about the infection for several months it definitely spread all over China and to some extent, the rest of the world before the pandemic was actually announced.

I believe that’s exactly what happened. The first guy who got a video out got a bullet in return, didn’t he? Or a camp of “strict regime”?
Eventually we may get the truth.

On the other hand, it’s pizza night. I’ll take it for today.

BBL.

Hey, TeX! At our weekly admin meeting, my boss said she was exhausted and felt wiped out, and the expression on her face supported that claim. I think we’re all feeling a bit that way.

In re the government of China: Fatwa would be better able to express my thoughts on that bunch.
