Good morning Wheelizens!!

Okay, so… here is the final form of the video of the story I told on the wheel a couple of days ago. I added some eerie music and a youtubish outro. The reason I’m sharing this here is because it’s the first time I’ve tried actually producing a video with editing and such. This was done with “OpenShot” an open source video editor.

OR:

Here it is on BitChute with an intro added as well. Although I have no talent for the visual arts, the plugins make it pretty easy to make animated graphics.

Good first effort, Dv8. I’ve used TechSmith’s Camtasia for video editing at work -- very good tool, but costs around $200 last time I looked. Timeline therapy is interesting.

BTW, aren’t you culturally appropriating those dreds? Heh.

Thanks. I’m not sure if I’ll do another one. But overall, compared to the time spent streaming, it’s pretty low effort timewise. It wasn’t too hard to write out a script and then read it. It’s interesting how you sound so different when you’re reading something versus talking.

re the dreds: Yeah, well… I’m just waiting for some crazed Marxist brainwashed idiot to make an issue of it, but honestly, I think such people are mostly in the “schools” and mostly on the coasts, not so much here in “flyover country.”

Not bad. I can’t see myself in front of a camera unless I had something specific to do -- which I actually do at least once on most days. Going back and watching myself so I could edit is another matter entirely. That would take some getting used to.

Well done, dv8.

I’m another a member of the “no talent for the visual arts” club. (Plus, I have the proverbial “face made for radio”; cameras are not my friend when they’re pointed at me.)

Went to Walmart earlier; shelves continue to be better-stocked but still very short on the stuff folks have been panic-buying.

The one I went to has instituted one-way aisles in the grocery section; leave us say I’m a complete and total fookin’ scofflaw. (As were most of the other food shoppers during my visit.)

Fatwa: Regarding appearances: A long while ago, Harper showed me pictures of a few wheelies, one of which was you, I remember thinking and saying: “Wow! Fatwa looks like the coolest dude ever!” That was my honest reaction.

I might make another story video because I did reference another story I might want to tell.

OK, Fatwa, how much did you have to send to Dv8 for that one?

I signed an agreement not to disclose the amount.

Good Whateverfuggin’ Morning it is, Wheelizens!

Jim’s attorney buddy sent a letter to Herr Scheißter yesterday. IMHO (and IANAL), it was far too tepid; gonna have to talk with Jim about that later. (One of many the things which I learned from JimCo’s past legal difficulties was that we have got to be “driving the legal bus” rather than the attorney.)

dv8 --

Will look forward to viewing your video later. I see it’s pretty short but I’m “minus on minutes” this morning. (I think I pilfered that phrase from one of Heinlein’s novels.)

BBL.

Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8, and Fatwa!

dv8 -- I look forward to watching your video. I totally understand having no talent for the visual arts. Many years ago, someone asked me to build a website for them. The coding and database integration was the easy part. Layout, backgrounds, fonts, etc. -- that was the problem.

Fatwa -- sorry to hear that JimCo’s attorney isn’t more of a bulldog.

Good morning Fatwa, Dv8, and Paddy -- happy day in ending in “y”.

The heat is on with strong winds forecast today. Not looking forward to it.

This caught my eye: “The focus on saving “just one life” from the coronavirus, as Cuomo put it in March, to the exclusion of all other considerations likely will prove a catastrophic failure of policymaking.”

We all have been on one front or another in the Second Amendment battles and know that the tactics used by the anti-2A side include the “if it saves one life” canard. It’s no surprise that we are seeing the same tactic writ large.

Interesting article. I watched part of Cuomo’s press conference and it was infuriating. So what if a woman gets beat up by her significant other? That’s better than someone else dying from coronavirus. So what if you lose you business? That’s better than someone else dying from coronavirus. You want a job? Go get an essential job!

Time to pitch a new reality show called “Drop The Goon!”.

Every ep, a different wannabe American tyrant is dragged from their home or office, placed in a tumbrel and forced to watch as motivated local volunteers construct a gibbet with a trap door.

You can guess the rest. 😉

I’m sure this will work. Just ask nicely.

“The same day that Mexican President López Obrador asked drug traffickers to “simmer down,” the highest number of homicides in 2020 was recorded. Mexico already has all the ingredients of the tragedy: kidnappings, enforced disappearances, executions and clandestine graves. López Obrador asked criminals to think about the pain they cause their mothers.”

I read that cats have been infected by the Chinese Flu -- if you ever needed evidence that social distancing doesn’t work, there it is.

Should we tell Sven that he’s spelling “bats” with a ‘c’?

I don’t know what the longest scream in rock is, but this is pretty impressive. And from on her back too. Go to the 10:09 time mark.
