So… This would be a humongous editing job, but I was thinking about editing down that livestream I posted here the other day and making it into a short(er) video along with the appropriate stream chat edited in also.
I’m not sure how feasible a project that would be, but I’m looking into it this morning.
Sorry I was away for a bit -- I hit the wall looking at the job market and everything else and my head just ran fvcking amuck for a while.
I should be somewhat better now.

Interesting. In Minneapolis, black police officer Mohammad Noor shoots and kills unarmed white woman Justine Damond. He is arrested 10 months later and charged with her murder.
Also in Minneapolis, white police officer Derrick Chauvin kills unarmed black man George Floyd and he is arrested on some charge 4 days later.
Conclusions? Riots make a difference? Or is it the video? Unless it’s captured on “film” it didn’t happen? Or black lives matter more than whites? Or we only care about police actions when it affects the POC tribe?
The “COVID relief” has given us a little breathing room, so I may go for some technical training and try something completely different. NOT welding. When they figure things out at the college up the street, anyway.
BUT here’s a little Pandemic Panic story that pissed me off.
We have a new dentist. Since COBRA wasn’t covering much of *anything* dental, we were referred to the dentists’ own in-house plan.
Coverage looked good (includes two cleanings and 1 set of x-rays), we signed up.
Mr. Tex shows up yesterday for his cleaning, and they hit him up for a “PPE Surcharge”. For the gloves and mask they’re going to wear.
I call that extortion.
He felt so bad about spooling up the little girl behind the desk, he actually paid it.

Hey, TeX! Nice to see you again! Yeah, the job market sucks right now, and it’s easy to get bogged down in the negativity. Glad you’re on the rebound. I’m on my fourth round of “trying something completely different” -- it can be scary, but it’s never too late to re-invent yourself.
Even shit happening in Bakersfield and someone drove their car through rioters in the street making them quite angry and belligerent.
If I’m driving on a public road and get surrounded by a bunch of screaming masked people some with weapons, I don’t think I’m going to stop and wait for them to clear the way.
I wondered when an addl act of terrorism, cyber attacking the power grid or interent, or something more blatant like a suicide run, would occur during our “safer at home” tenure. Didn’t think it would be a single killing by police.
Thank you, media. Keep fanning the flames by running that video 24/7. But under no circumstances show the hundreds of people leaping to their deaths from atop the Twin Towers on 9/11 cuz you didn’t want to inflame anti-Muslim sentiment. And stop bringing up Ferguson without also saying that that whole mess was based on a lie. Fuck you. I hope CNN burns.

Friday compliments, GN!
Hi, dv8!
Looks like things got worse in MN after I went to bed last night…criminy.
Anybody got the over/under on him blaming this all on those diamond merchant interlopers?
BBL.
Happy Friday, GN! Good morning Dv8 and Fatwa.
I see that Minneapolis enjoyed another night of “mostly peaceful” protests. When will the “national conversation” start?
Strangely that rings of how the French would downplay New Year’s Eve CarBQs in the banlieues.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8, Fatwa, and Sven!
dv8 -- that sounds like quite the project! I wouldn’t know where to begin.
Fatwa -- first he’ll blame Trump, whitey, institutional and/or systemic racism, then he’ll get around to teh joooooos.
Sven -- If Obama (pbuh) was in office, it would have already started.
Happy Friday all yall!

Bad precedents no matter what.
Good to see you Tex! Sorry about the job hunt -- anything I can do to help? Pass your resume on anywhere?
[SMISH}
Sincerely, thank you. Not just yet.

Listening to Trump’s press conference on China -- the man does not know how to pull a punch. Kind of…refreshing.

You’re one of my mental examples (shut up you two), along with my friends Ken and Bob who’ve gone that route too; I think the Accidental Texan© may eventually travel the re-invention path too (after he gets done fighting the EEoC and Unemployment).
Ken with only nine years out from my former employer will retire next year.
So y’all I look up to.
That’s awfully nice of you to say, TeX, even if you do think I’m mental.
j/k
We ought to start up Gerbil, Inc.
Looks like “peaceful protests” are on the menu for tonight all across the country. Atlanta and LA have it going on.
