So yesterday, I found out that the Kia dealership had two identical white Kia Rio EXs.

And guess what?

They sold me one, and gave the other. So my choices are to keep the one I have and they put paperwork though for me. Or, I can come down and pick up the other car. (There would be no paperwork because it’s already done)

I just need to put my current registration in the new car glove box and put my current plate on.

Well, oddly enough, it sounds like an adventure to me so, I’m actually going to go down there.

So…….. I’m leaving early this morning. My friend Chuck is going down with me. I wanna get Phoenix over with before the heat. But according to the weather forecast, it looks like the high down there is in the mid 90s depending on who you ask. I think we should be back on our way up by between 10 and 11 am.

Wish me luck!!

Caturday salutations, GN!

Hi, dv8 --

Bummer about your unplanned Kia-related adventure; hope you and Chuck have an uneventful, safe journey.

Also glad that (apparently) no LEOs have had cause to check your registration paperwork against the VIN on your vehicle -- which could have, um , unpredictable results.

Also hope the dealer does something to make up for their error.

Did it not occur to anyone there that they could pick up the chair and move it themselves if they were so worried?

“But then someone from the White House might single me out for derision or mockery and REEEEEEEEEEE!

Clearly, many members of our elite media weren’t slapped and/or spanked sufficiently as children.

I dread getting caught-up on current events today, but I am compelled to be a reasonably “informed citizen”.

What a dangerously stupid age we live in.

The George Floyd Memorial Tour opens in North Carolina today. Tickets still available. Closer to home, there’s a rally scheduled for 10:00 AM. Debating about attending.

If there were some way for you to make this a civil rights issue (use Little Mouse as a front), you might get what you paid for.

Krakatoa over at AoSHQ has an interesting early morning rant.

Look, I’m not even going to pretend:

I am enjoying the hell out of all this blue on blue sh!tstorm. This is a fiasco entirely of their own making, and it couldn’t happen to a finer collection of race-baiters, intersectional virtue-signallers and tin-pot despots than you could ever imagine.

eff them and their cities.

And if you are a cop with your hands tied or even thrown under the BLM bus by the liberal overlords whose campaigns you funded with all your union dues, fuck you too. You LEOs bear a big part of the blame. You could have chosen against playing GI Joe and instead kept being community members. But no, that wasn’t cool enough for you was it. No, you had to gear up and commence to no-knocking and killing dogs and killing actual innocent people, and especially and ESPECIALLY: circling the wagons for the very worst of you.

And finally: You’ll excuse me if I enjoy just a bit of schadenfreude that you don’t feel like you are getting the respect and support you think you are due. For what it’s worth: we the public in no small part and across ideological lines feel pretty much the same way.

It’s hard to argue with this -- have to say that we in CA deserve what we get and we should get it good and hard. Sadly, I’m out of vaseline.

Protest report.

Stopped at the Simi protest for about half an hour. Several hundred white people wearing masks, holding signs, not practicing social distancing. Simi PD shut down all of the freeway off ramps in the center part of town -- took awhile to get to the site which is a major street intersection. Sad to see so much stupid in one place.

They are apparently starting to march somewhere -- figure it will go west and then north to the city hall and police station.

It’s the usual leftie protest that we’ve all seen ad nauseum the last couple of weeks. The only odd thing I noticed were a couple of Hells Angels in colors sitting on their bikes and watching.

I wonder if the Hells Angels were hoping somebody started some sh!t, or just enjoying the spectacle.

I went to Trader Joe’s and their was a protest at the city hall intersection. Between all four corners their may have been 50 people, tops. Masks and stupid signs, but they weren’t yelling and there were no bullhorns.

It’s unusual though to see them wearing colors.

The crowd has grown to maybe 1500 per reports. They are all camped out now in front of the town hall. I wonder of they realize that courthouse is where the infamous “Simi Valley” jury acquitted the 4 LAPD officers many years ago.

Drive-by:

Hi, Sven, Paddy and Mac!

Sadly, I’m out of vaseline.

We’d be happy to ship you some; I’m not aware that would violate any federal laws. (But there’s so damned many of them, it’s impossible to be sure.)

The only odd thing I noticed were a couple of Hells Angels in colors sitting on their bikes and watching.

Probably looking for Antifa goons; it’s my understanding that the Angels -- and several of their rivals -- really don’t like them little anarchist shits.
