I saw the CA temps on the ticker this morning, Fatwa, meep!
My walking group wants to keep meeting at 8am, I think I’m going to start a little earlier and meet them for the last leg. It’s HOT by 9-9:15 and while rinsing off with the hose out back is refreshing, it’s still hot.
Not much going on around here -- just watching the prairie bake. And letting dogs out and then right back in again. Speaking of …
I saved a spider that was crawling around the bathroom by capturing him instead of stepping on him and tossed him outside on the patio. While I watched him scurrying away, a Scrub Jay flew down and ate him.
There’s probably some larger meaning there, but I’m not sure what it is.
CA is apparently being shut down again, per Gov. Newsom. I’m not all that sure what it means in day-to-day activities beyond churches being closed again.
Yeah, there’s a lesson there, mostly that the females of any species are dangerous.

I read that the San Gabriel Mission was destroyed by fire over the weekend -- hope this isn’t the start of a trend.
Sven -- I agree. The diocese has stated that they will rebuild and view it as a resurrection.
